Springdale Bulldogs 2023 Team Preview

Coach Brett Hobbs is making some changes to the Springdale offense in order to cause problems for opposing defensive coordinators. Springdale has the talent to surprise some folks this upcoming season. We are going to preview the 2023 Springdale Bulldogs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From an offensive perspective, the Springdale Bulldogs will be making the switch to the flexbone offense. Springdale signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='393032' first='Jack' last='Pounders'] has the speed and the decision-making ability to cause problems for the opposing defense. From a passing perspective, Pounders has the arm strength and the accuracy to keep the opposing defense honest. Pounders has the potential to have a strong season in 2023.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Springdale rushing attack will depend on Pounders to run and make decisions with the football. Fullback [player_tooltip player_id='1342891' first='Lajket' last='Kannangaki'] will see plenty of carries this season. Kannangaki looks to deliver a blow to the opposing defense as he runs. He is the type of running back that just gets better as the game progresses. [player_tooltip player_id='382799' first='Cayden' last='Aaserude'] will earn some carries this season. Aaserude has the speed to cause plenty of problems for the opposing defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Flexbone teams use the pass to keep the opposing defense honest. Springdale has the players at the wide receiver spots to stretch the field and extend the drives. Brayden Conner has the size at 6'2” to cause headaches for opposing defensive backs. Hayden Brown does everything ask of him at the tight end position. He is a solid blocker and does an impressive job of catching the football. Fans can expect the Springdale offense to impose will and shorten the game this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The defensive side of the ball for Springdale has the potential to be a talented group this upcoming season. The Bulldogs have some talented prospects on the defensive side of the ball this season. Edge rusher Alexander Santana uses his speed well to disrupt the opposing offensive backfield. [player_tooltip player_id='256579' first='Mychael' last='Dickerson'] and Brandon Laughter are two linebackers that can terrorize opposing offensive lines. Both Dickerson and Laughter are players that are always around the ball carrier. Meanwhile, safety Tryston Skelton does a great job of shutting down the opposing passing attack of the offense.
