Sky View QB: Carson Thatcher Carson Thatcher 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Sky View | 2024 State UT vs. Wasatch QB: Mack Kelson Mack Kelson 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Wasatch | 2025 State UT
Thatcher is a duel threat quarterback with arm strength and mobility that the Bobcats will need in the passing game. Kelson is a top quarterback prospect in the state with his ability to move the ball downfield that the Wasp will need to get things going. Look for this QB matchup to be a fun one to watch.
Sky View HB: Brevin Egbert vs. Wasatch LB: Abe Wheeler
Egbert is an athletic player and one of the top running backs in the 4A class with his burst and acceleration to run between and outside the tackles. He’ll have to show that against Wheeler, who had a good game last week piling up 11 tackles as an athletic linebacker. This matchup in the tackle box will be interesting to watch to see if run game gets going.
Wasatch WR: Jojo Hyer vs. Sky View DB: Carver Ballard
Hyer had a good game last week scoring two touchdowns in the air. His burst and cutting ability makes him a option to throw to in the passing game. He’ll have to show that against Ballard, an all state cornerback in the 4A class. He has the athletic ability, awareness and physicality to play the position. Look for this matchup to see who gets the most opportunities to make plays.
Sky View OL: Connor Dean vs. Wasatch DL: Crew Baxter Crew Baxter 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Wasatch | 2026 State UT
Baxter is an interesting prospect with size and athletic ability. His ability to stop the run and push the pocket as a power rusher will be good things to see in years to come. He’ll have to get through Connor, who made All State as an offensive linemen but has been a good two way player for the Bobcats. This matchup along the LOS will be another fun matchup on friday night.
