Saturday Spotlight 8/5/23

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I love to come out on Saturday and talk about some guys that don't have much recognition. During the season, this is going to be a great day to acknowledge players that had a good Friday night game. Today we will focus on some guys that I think will see their stock rise this season. Lets check it out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='910010' first='Dee' last='Burnside']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I think that Burnside is going to be one of the best players in 2A this season. He is one of those guys that plays both ways for Philadelphia. He is a 2024 guy that is underrated. Burnside has a lot of speed with good feet. He also has some good hands. He is a guy that will have a breakout season this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='503391' first='Coledan' last='Carter']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter is one of those defensive backs that don't mind coming up to make some tackles. He is a West Point Greenwave that is not talked about much in the 2024 class. However, he is one of the soundest safeties in the 2024 class. Carter has received his first division one offer from Mississippi Valley State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jayvon Herron</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Herron is another prospect in the 2024 class that is slept on. Herron is a guy from Grenada that knows how to get his team pumped. He is a guy that loves to make plays on offense. Can keep the chains moving. With the new addition of [player_tooltip player_id='1118985' first='Charlie' last='Fair'] at quarterback, I think we will see him score more touchdowns this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Isaiah Dickerson </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dickerson is a cornerback that I will be keeping a very close eye on. Dickerson is a cornerback that is ready to get his swerve on this season. Coach Carlton Brown has him polished up and ready. Dickerson is a guy that has good hips and feet. I'm ready to see how he is coming this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
