Offense

Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='282744' first='Ryley' last='Parenteau'] looks to take over the starting role for Madison's offense in 2023. Parenteau has flashed raw upside in his size (6'3”/175) and strong, natural arm that can push the ball downfield. He's a deceptive athlete as a runner and can put the ball in spots throwing towards the sideline. 2025 WR Xavier Quintanar has been generating interest this offseason and looks the part of a future leading receiver. He's a fluid natural athlete that can create separation as a route-runner and adjust to a ball in flight. He picked up his first offer from Houston Christian in January with other interest from Penn and South Dakota St. Two-way athlete, [player_tooltip player_id='398473' first='Jaylon' last='Brown'], is the likely lead RB this season. He's a physical runner of the football with churning downhill speed. Brown's added offers from Nevada and Southern Utah this year. The OL unit is led by an experienced group of seniors in OG Najon Gillespie, OG David Faatoalia, and OT Davion Haley. Faatoalia also plays DT and just picked up his first from Pacific in June.

Defense

Madison's defense is led by one of the top LBs in San Diego- [player_tooltip player_id='115441' first='James' last='Tivao']. Tivao's an extremely violent and productive defender that totaled nearly 100 tackles, 24 TFLs, 3 sacks, and 2 INTs last season. He holds over 10 D-I offers from schools like Arizona, SDSU, Nevada, Sacramento St., and multiple Ivy Leagues. 2024 S [player_tooltip player_id='273560' first='Martell' last='Hughes'] leads the secondary with great length, athleticism, and coverage instincts as a deep middle-field safety. He committed to Arizona St. in July over Cal, Arizona, and Washington St. Senior DBs Titus Toilolo (SS) and [player_tooltip player_id='398473' first='Jaylon' last='Brown'] (CB) bring talent and experience to what should be one of San Diego's best secondaries. Senior DT [player_tooltip player_id='501273' first='Makhai' last='Viavia'] is a disruptive force on the front-seven with offers from Adams St. and Pacific.
