Viewmont Vikings

Viewmont can not be counted out in the Region 5 race. Head Coach Dru Jones returns key contributors on both sides of the ball to a team that will be a tough out each week. The Vikings are strong in the trenches with [player_tooltip player_id='406986' first='Trey' last='Price'] and [player_tooltip player_id='698554' first='Siona' last='Faeamani Jr'] both among the best in the region at their position. They are each impressive run blockers and do a great job in pass protection. The Vikings also have an elite tandem of wide receivers in [player_tooltip player_id='698248' first='Kingston' last='Mickens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='894751' first='Drez' last='Jensen'] who are both skilled route runners.

Northridge Knights

Northridge head coach Andrew Fresques has an impressive-looking squad heading into the 2023 season. Wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id='705844' first='Malu' last='Lumpkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='698341' first='Jaxon' last='Fresques'] give Northridge two impressive playmakers on the outside. They both are capable of winning at all three levels and possess good speed. Defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='698549' first='Ryan' last='Tillman'] leads a defense loaded with exceptional athletes. Northridge is even strong in the kicking game, where punter [player_tooltip player_id='681221' first='Gabe' last='Carlson'] helps the Knights pin offenses deep in their own territory.

Woods Cross Wildcats

Woods Cross will be looking to make their mark in the newly revamped Region 5. Head Coach Brody Benson and the Wildcats offense welcome back running back [player_tooltip player_id='681235' first='Jacob' last='Howes']. He's an elite back with quick feet and exceptional vision. Defensively Woods Cross will be led by linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='406998' first='Cash' last='Henderson']. He can make plays playing on or off-ball linebacker. The Woods Cross front will also be fierce led by defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='705852' first='Okusitino' last='Sa'] and [player_tooltip player_id='875523' first='Charles' last='Bytyqi']. Look for Woods Cross to be a tough out each week this fall.

Clearfield Falcons

The Falcons should be a much-improved team this year now that they reside in Region 5. Head Coach Carl Harry and his squad will be ready for a tough schedule this fall. Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='894749' first='Nate' last='Eborn'] should provide his teammates with time to make plays in the run-and-pass game. Receiver Trace Hansen is also back and will be a tough cover for any defensive back on the outside. Canyon Dugger is back to lead the defense and should be in for a big junior season.
