Prep Redzone's Preseason All-State Series (5A Second-Team)

From Little Rock Parkview to Joe T Robinson, Batesville to Pine Bluff, and Farmington stretched over to Nettleton and Valley View the 5A classification may be the deepest in terms of competition throughout Arkansas high school football. Redzone's Rion Young notes he is a hungry individual with a lot of talent many other quarterbacks crave. Ringo concluded the 2022 season with 3,862 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions and has recently brought in offers from Arkansas Baptist and Central Missouri.   "Ringo is another quarterback I was impressed with today. He is a guy that came to learn. He has a very strong arm that helps him make throws most quarterbacks can't make. Ringo has very good footwork as well. He is going to be a stud this season. Ringo is very coachable. I'm confident he left the camp today better than he was before he came." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/04/top-skilled-players/">PRZ Prospect Tour Top Skilled Players</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Running Back</h2>   Jalen Jointer | Maumelle   "One of the most versatile prospects in the state of Arkansas will be playing this season for the Maumelle Hornets. Jointer does an excellent job allowing rushing lanes to develop. He has the speed and power mix needed to break tackles and get into the open field. Jointer has the potential to have a strong season in 2023. Jointer had the opportunity to visit the University of Central Arkansas over the weekend. Dendy resembles a D-1 talent and will be a high-impact player for the Zebras this fall.   "The Pine Bluff running back mixes impressive power with good speed. He some built plenty of recruiting momentum heading into the summer. The talented Pine Bluff Zebra earned scholarship offers from Arkansas State and Michigan State this week. Dendy does a great job of breaking into the open field and is a nightmare to bring down. He can line up all over the field for the Pine Bluff Zebras this season. On the defensive side of the ball, Brentley Jr. is a corner back that uses his hands well to jam opposing wide receivers. He does an impressive job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Brentley Jr. is not afraid to deliver a hit and step up to bring down the ball carrier. He has the potential to play at the next level and it comes as no surprise he was putting in work with his teammates on the first day of the dead period." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/06/natural-state-prospects-in-the-lab-6-26-23/">Natural State Prospects in the Lab 6-26-23</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='470001' first='Octavious' last='Rhodes'] | Hot Springs   [player_tooltip player_id='470001' first='Octavious' last='Rhodes'] has dwindled his college choices to three following a successful recruiting period for the star wideout. Recently Rhodes released Arkansas, Northwest Missouri State, and Jackson State to be his final three choices. Just before releasing his top three, Rhodes took a visit to UNLV.   "The 2024 wide receiver class in the state of Arkansas is a talented one. [player_tooltip player_id='470001' first='Octavious' last='Rhodes']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/octavious-rhodes/"></a> is a talented wide receiver with the speed to stretch the field deep. He is an extremely shifty wide receiver and can work his way out of tackles with impressive consistency. Over the past few weeks, Rhodes has earned scholarship offers from Central Arkansas and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Rhodes is a wide receiver to watch out for over the next couple of months. McCoy has been offered by the UA-Monticello and will use his senior year to generate more interest.   [player_tooltip player_id='623623' first='Landon' last='Morgan'] | Camden Fairview   [player_tooltip player_id='623623' first='Landon' last='Morgan'] is another talent at Camden Fairview who has stayed busy providing scouts with plenty of looks at his abilities inside the trenches. Morgan has attended camps this summer at SEMO, the University of Arkansas, UCA, and Ouachita Baptist, not to mention his offer from UA Monticello. Redzone's Tom Tabler points out below that Morgan is very efficient in his productivity on the offensive line.   "An offensive lineman in the class of 2024 to watch out for is [player_tooltip player_id='623623' first='Landon' last='Morgan']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/landon-morgan/"></a> with Camden Fairview. Last season, Morgan had a dominating performance working on the Cardinal offensive line. He racked up 28 pancake blocks on the season and ended the season with a 95% blocking percentage on the season. Morgan uses his quickness well to sustain his blocks. Look for Wallis to end the year near the top of tackles and sacks for the 5A this season.   "[player_tooltip player_id='392984' first='Isaac' last='Wallis']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/isaac-wallis/"></a> is one of the most versatile prospects along the defensive line in the state of Arkansas. He plays the edge rusher position in impressive fashion. Wallis can use his power to defeat blocks. Meanwhile, Wallis can mix his power rush with good speed and disrupt the quarterback's passing ability. He is a prospect that I expect a big season from this season, and I look for him to earn some more scholarship offers this season." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2022/07/class-of-2024-position-breakdown-defensive-line/">Class of 2024 Position Breakdown-Defensive Line</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='434090' first='Alex' last='Martin'] | Little Rock Parkview   The Parkview Patriots have a game breaker in [player_tooltip player_id='434090' first='Alex' last='Martin'] who recently committed to Arkansas State. This is a defensive lineman who attracts double teams regularly and is a player circled by opposing teams week to week. Martin also raked in offers from numerous schools including Memphis and Austin Peay. He has impressive quickness that mixes well with his power. Martin has the versatility to play the tackle or edge positions with plenty of effectiveness. The Parkview defensive lineman had the chance to visit the Kansas State Wildcats over the weekend. The Pine Bluff Zebras always have a talented roster, and this season does not appear to be any different. For the Pioneers this season Foree will have a Swiss army knife feel as he serves as the leader of the defensive unit while playing the leading wide out on the offensive side of the ball this season. Even when he is engaged, Foree can position himself to make incredible plays that leave his opponents in awe. Hayes has received great feedback from his performances at numerous camps including UAPB, UAB, Arkansas State, and UCA. Headed into his junior season, expectations are beginning to grow. He is a corner back that does a great job of altering the routes run by the opposing wide receiver. Hayes is not afraid to get aggressive with opposing wide outs. He uses his hands well and does a good job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Hayes had the opportunity to put in some work at the Arkansas State camp over the weekend.
