First up is Omaha Westside who will be defending their Class A state title with one of the most talented rosters in the state. I saw a lot of great things from this group of guys and I want to share just a few things I picked up on from practice. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='250051' first='Anthony' last='Rezac'] looked sharp as both a passer and a runner. During routes on air, I noticed Anthony's touch and ability to lead receivers with his passes. You can expect another big rushing season from Anthony on the ground. He just does a great job determining when to tuck it and is very tough to tackle when he gets going.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":948255,"width":499,"height":332,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/08/IMG_4230.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-948255" style="width:499px;height:332px" width="499" height="332" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">2024 QB [player_tooltip player_id='250051' first='Anthony' last='Rezac']</figcaption></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- Skill positions are stacked with players like [player_tooltip player_id='250053' first='Caleb' last='Benning'], [player_tooltip player_id='318995' first='Keynan' last='Cotton'], [player_tooltip player_id='250697' first='Trevor' last='Spady'], [player_tooltip player_id='250679' first='KeVaughn' last='Shannon'], [player_tooltip player_id='250255' first='Teddy' last='Rezac'], [player_tooltip player_id='250300' first='Jordon' last='Hurst'], [player_tooltip player_id='408805' first='Preston' last='Okafor'], and the list goes on. The thing that I like about this group is that they can all play a physical style of ball. He has great size and already seems to have a good grasp of what the Warriors need from him defensively. Physical player that will plug right in at guard and one that I think will bypass any "inexperience" issues as he enters the varsity ranks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":948257,"width":499,"height":332,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/08/IMG_4237.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-948257" style="width:499px;height:332px" width="499" height="332" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">2026 OL [player_tooltip player_id='487559' first='Owen' last='James']</figcaption></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- Speaking of the OL, this should be a solid group for the Warriors. They were opening some nice inside run lanes for their backs. The physicality was also impressive, the big guys were getting after it. Two seniors stand out in particular. [player_tooltip player_id='663104' first='Broc' last='Regner'] is a solid tackle that holds several offers. Jack Wing is a savvy, experienced player who will be going into his third season as a starter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>- <strong><em>Preseason bold take:</em></strong> LBs [player_tooltip player_id='250256' first='Beau' last='Ryan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='516322' first='Nick' last='Anglim'] combine for at least 175 tackles.
