However, Louisville is showing you why you should not ever keep them out of a preseason ranking after they win a championship and return most of the starters from that championship team.
1st Quarter
Louisville struck fast in the first quarter. Xavier Hunt connected with Jykevious Goss for a nice forty yard scamper and six points. The Louisville crowd was on their feet. West Point did not allow that to get them down. They returned with a quick score.
2nd Quarter
The second quarter was kind of slow. The only points West Point would score came from a forced fumble. They just could not get their offense going.
3rd Quarter
Louisville put up 21 points in the in the third quarter. They came back out of halftime on fire. Their guys were so pumped. You can tell Coach Tyrone Shorter got his squad prepared for the second half. His defense came out pumping and making major plays on the field. Kendon Sanders Kendon Sanders 5'9" | 200 lbs | LB Louisville | 2024 State MS is a running back that only sees that position when Louisville is in the red zone or needs short yardage. Jacari Owens put a nice hit on West Point’s four-star running back that forced a fumble. That made the score 28-13. Louisville meant business.
4th Quarter
Louisville called the dogs off in the fourth quarter. However, there offense was still moving the football with their running game. Kendon Sanders Kendon Sanders 5'9" | 200 lbs | LB Louisville | 2024 State MS found the end zone again for a nice touchdown.
Game Summary
Louisville has a very good team this year. Last year, they won state with only four seniors starting. This team has a lot to look forward to. It is going to be a long year for teams that have to play them. They are so fast on defense that it is scary.
