The bright lights and stands of High School stadiums fill the night air and the young men on the football field become stars. This article will cover a player for each of the four Class D games that deserve that star attention.
Tucker Biskup

https://twitter.com/tuckerbiskuprnWith a freshman year to remember, Biskup put up over 1400 all-purpose yards with 20 touchdowns. Whether it was passing, running andcatching on offense, or leading the team with 4 interceptions on defense, Biskup made it evident he was a force to be reckoned with. Already at 6’2″, his stature is mature, and his athleticism is on another level for his class. Biskup should be a focal point on the Cardinal offense who is returning their starting Quarterback and leading receiver from last year. Biskup will be used in multiple ways but could find his strongest contribution as taking handoffs. Look for Biskup to make a name for himself in the state this fall.
https://twitter.com/Jackson73628rnAfter running for over 1000 yards and 22 touchdowns his junior year, Roberts will look to close out his high school career being one of only 7 running backs to run for over 1000yds for all 4 of their high school seasons. He did suffer a knee injury to close out 2022 but he will be ready for the season and his entire bag will be on display. Roberts has excellent footwork with deceptive speed. His size and strength make him a touch tackle, making his yards after contact an impressive feature in his skillset. Roberts is drawing interest from schools like Augustana and North Dakota State, but I am expecting his stock to grow during the season as he etches his name into Nebraska record books.
A grinder on the field, Hoffman ran for 800 yards with 15 touchdowns in 2022. Throw in 114 tackles on defense and what you have is a player who is willing to do the dirty work to make his team successful. A little undersized, Hoffman does a great job hiding behind his line and being patient while an opening presents itself. Hoffman has breakaway speed; however, he is not afraid of the contact and often times may initiate it himself. Hoffman’s an effort leader for the team and a flat-out football player. Hoffman will garner attention with his play and find his way onto some scouts lists.
https://twitter.com/dylonlueking33rnLueking is a full package linebacker. He has the speed to play in coverage, solid tight end on offense, the strength to fight through blocks to make a tackle at the line of scrimmage and the ability to pursue from sideline to sideline. Lueking already has terrific linebacker size, racking up 138 tackles last year. 88 of the tackles were solo with 3 of them for a loss. He is freakishly athletic for the position with the Wolfpack even using him to return some kickoffs. Lueking might just be that needle in the haystack that teams need to make a security blanket on their defense.
