For high school football players, that means collegiate programs are hot on their trails and offering them the opportunity to play at the next level. We will spotlight several Class of 2026 Ranked players whose stock is trending up heading into the 2023 season.
Lott is long, lean and has an athletic, stout build with the ability to contort his body better than most players at his level of maturity. Jalen is a twitchy player, who has the skill set to play multiple positions and be dominant. As a cornerback, he transitions into his back pedal smoothly, his elite hip dexterity allows him to turn, cut, stop and explode with wideouts in close coverage to blanket his opponent. Lott uses his length on the offensive side to his advantage to win on the 50/50 balls and he has the skill set to make the contested grabs consistently. He is a superb route runner with the ability to get deep bend in his hips, he has the quickness to shift gears quickly and he has the long speed to create separation at the second level to be a big play threat. He showed off these traits in Lovejoy’s opener in week one and was able to contribute on both sides of the football. College programs have already taken notice, Lott has offers from Michigan, Florida State and Oregon who all offered this offseason. Expect his stock to continue to blossom as the season progresses.

Highlights
Bey is must see TV with the football in his hands. Legend has a quick release, he gets increased velocity on the football when he drives the football using his hips to get extra torque and his ability to be on time throwing frozen ropes makes him a dangerous weapon in the Mesquite Horn offense. Bey is a dynamic runner, he is a twitchy athlete with great explosion in the open field and Legend has the sprinter speed to cash in for six from any distance. In his season debut, Bey was electric, he struck through the air and on the ground. Bey is one of the hottest Class of 2026 recruits after week one, picking up offers from Oregon, Cincinnati, UTSA and Houston.
Blessed and honored to receive an offer from the University of Cincinnati @Coach_Cass @CoachAllenHC @CoachCVirgil @KoachMak pic.twitter.com/HEpaD92DSV

Highlights
Morgan has disciplined eyes, he tracks, reads and diagnoses plays quickly and he runs to the football with great speed to close in on the ball carrier. Madden attacks under control, keeping his hips underneath him, he moves laterally quickly and comes downhill with violent intentions. Morgan has a stout, powerful build, with extended arm length, he has broad shoulders and has the ability to shock and shed blockers to be in position to make plays from sideline to sideline. Madden had a phenomenal freshman season and is off to a great start this season, having an active game one totaling six tackles, one tackle for loss and a pass defended that turned into a pick six for Episcopal. Morgan has the traits that collegiate programs seek out in next level linebackers and colleges are buying his stock. He is headed to Norman to watch the Oklahoma Sooners opening game, as they are one the schools who have loved what they see in his game.
