From the quarterback position, to the big uglies up front , to the elusive running backs, this class is loaded with talent. We will discuss several standouts who have stepped up and stood out for their teams.
Surratt has clean footwork in the pocket, he stands tall during his delivery, he has disciplined eyes as he goes through his progressions and he has excellent pocket presence. Jett has a quick release, that is complemented by superb footwork, which enables him to deliver dimes in rhythm and on time to his targets. Surratt is calm under pressure and he can carve up a defense with his pinpoint accuracy. Jett is one of the top playmakers in the Class of 2026 in the State of Texas. Houston, UTSA and Texas Tech have extended offers as Surratt heads into the 2023 season ready to lead the Carthage offense full time.

Guillory Jr. has great vision combined with the ability to cut on a dime, which makes him a lethal weapon in the open field and he has the speed to make a house call from any distance on the football field. Raycine gets into high gear quickly, he is an explosive runner, who runs with power between the tackles and when he gets north he closes the deal in a hurry. Guillory Jr. started the season against Parish Episcopal with a monster game, exploding for 193 total yards with 3 touchdowns, that included a highlight reel catch out of the back field, where is elite skill set was on full display. Guillory Jr. will be a featured weapon in a loaded Aledo Bearcat offensive attack seeking it’s 12th state title. Arkansas, SMU, and Texas Tech have offered early but you can except that number to climb as the season progresses.

Evers has the makeup of a franchise tackle, he has excellent length combined with a powerful punch at engagement, he has violent hands and takes pride in delivering the first blow to his opponent. Drew is a technician, he has superb, clean footwork with excellent lateral quickness and he sets the table with a firm base the enables him to be a wall for his quarterback in pass protection. Evers locks down his opponent with a masterlock type grip at engagement, he plays with controlled violence and his ability to sink his hips, allows him to usher his opponent out of the club routinely. Drew is one of the top offensive players in the Class of 2026 and already has double digit offers from schools around the country.
