Kearrin Dawsey – Turner County
An underrated receiver in South Georgia, Dawsey is a playmaking machine right now who has had a very impressive start to the 2023 season. A speedy wideout who is great after the catch, Dawsey had an incredibly season opener in week one, catching seven passes against Worth County for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He showed the ability to stretch the field as well as make plays in the short passing game, picking up plenty of yards after the catch. His numbers dipped a bit in week two, but he still managed to catch a respectable six passes for 59 yards and another touchdown. He’s lighting up the stat sheet and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
Walter Willis jr – Pebblebrook
A really impressive athlete who has shined as a pass-catcher so far this season, Willis Jr. jumped out with a big game in week one, catching seven passes for 169 yards and one touchdown. It came in a losing effort, but it was still an impressive performance. He’s great in the short passing game with enough speed to split a defense and take off. If you don’t corral, him, he’s a threat to make a big play. He sees the field well and shows great burst which allows him to pick up those yards. He’s playing at a high level and will likely keep that play up throughout the year. There’s a lot to like about his game and could see more and more opportunities to make plays each week.
A big-time sophomore who ha started making a big name for himself, Stafford Jr. had an excellent 2023 season-opening game, catching an eye-opening 13 passes for 158 yards in a big win over North Forsyth. He’s a young prospect who just doees things the right way. He’s a crisp route-runner, but he catches the ball well and does his best to get up-filed as easy as he can. He’s as dependable as it gets and heard his name called over and over through the first two weeks of the season. A natural pass-catcher, it’s easy to see the D1-caliber potential he brings to the table. He’s playing like one of the very best 2026 receivers in Gwinnett County right now.
Preston Bird Preston Bird 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Veterans | 2024 State GA – Veterans
An excellent route-runner with breakaway speed, Bird is without a doubt one of the most underrated receivers not only in Middle Georgia, but across the peach-state in the 2024 class. He may not be the biggest receiver around, but the Perry native is lightning quick and shows big-play ability after the catch. A crafty route-runner who can change directions with ease, Bird is quick pass-catcher with playmaking ability who knows how to slip behind linebackers and find an open area down the field. He’s been outstanding to start thee 2023 season, catching 8 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns in a big win over Richmond County. He then caught four passes for 75 yards and two more touchdowns week two against Griffin. He’s dominating right now.
