<p>Bentonville West coach Bryan Pratt always has his teams prepared for a tough 7-West slate every season. Pratt and the Wolverines are always a team that you can count on making the playoffs and doing some damage once they get there. The 2023 season should not be any different for the Wolverines. Bentonville West finished with an 8-4 record in 2022 and the potential to improve on that mark this season.</p>

<p>Looking first at the Bentonville West offensive side of the ball. Quarterback Dalton Rice will be under center this season. Rice saw action last season for the Wolverines. Rice threw for 751 yards, 9 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions. He is a quarterback that can hurt you with his arm as well as his legs. Rice is not afraid to pick up yards on the ground and extend drives. Rice has the potential to have a strong season this season.</p>

<p>The running game will see several prospects earn some carries for the Wolverines this season. Cole Edmonson will see time in the backfield at the running back position. However, he will also see passes thrown his way in the passing game. [player_tooltip player_id='373092' first='Aidyn' last='Myers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1220907' first='Jonathan' last='Johnson'] will earn some carries this upcoming season as well. You can expect a good mix of the run and the pass for the Wolverines this season.</p>

<p>Bentonville West does a great job of producing talented wide receivers to watch out for every season. Jaxon Burst had an impressive season last season. He hauled in 66 receptions for over 700 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. Burst is a playmaker and does an excellent job of making opposing defenders miss. [player_tooltip player_id='303140' first='Harris' last='Vinson'] has terrific speed and can stretch the field deep and create plenty of headaches for the opposing defensive secondary. The offensive side of the ball has the potential to light up the scoreboards this season.</p>

<p>Shifting gears to look at the defensive side of the ball for the Wolverines. Collier DeClerk comes off of the edge with plenty of speed. DeClerk does an impressive job of playing both the run and the pass well. [player_tooltip player_id='303140' first='Harris' last='Vinson'] will see some playing time at the linebacker position this season. Vinson does a great job of getting to the opposing ball carrier and hauling him down. Meanwhile, in the secondary, [player_tooltip player_id='624989' first='Que' last='Thompson'] is a player that does a terrific job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Bentonville West has the potential to make some noise in the playoffs again this season.</p>
