Brewer is a physical, hard-nosed defensive end prospect who uses his size and strength to set the edge. Brewer is a stout 6’3 240 with noticeable length in his arms. He has the area to grow and continue to add onto his frame, which means he could play at a much higher weight than now. Brewer shoots his hands with good timing and power. He isn’t afraid to get right up in the grill of the blocker and use his length to lock out and create space. When attacking as a pass rusher on the outside, he is able to swat at the hands and bring his arm over to beat the hands of the blocker and avoid getting tied up. When he does get tied up, he keeps his feet moving and locks out his arm to impact the pad level and leverage of the blocker. Against the run, Brewer has the horizontal agility to keep working outside, and beat the ball to the outside. He is a strider-style runner with surprising speed which gives him the ability to flag down ball carriers from the backside. He is a fundamentally sound tackler, wrapping up the ball carrier and bringing him to the ground with force. Brewer holds D1 offers and still has his best football ahead of him.
Michael Igbinoghene Michael Igbinoghene 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Hewitt Trussville | 2025 State AL – 2025 – CB – Hewitt-Trussville
Igbinoghene is a high-upside corner who has already had several P5 programs offer him. Still, his best football and recruiting exposure are ahead of him. In terms of measurables, Igbinoghene isn’t exactly what you imagine when thinking of P5 corners, as he comes in at 5’10 170. Regardless of his height, he has long arms and is an outstanding athlete. He does a good job of mirroring off the line and doesn’t get beat often. When he does, he has the recovery skills to put his cleats in the ground and fly downfield. With his sub 4.4 40 time, there are hardly any WRs that have the straight-line speed to separate from him. Igbinoghene is able to come downhill and make physical plays on the football as well. He doesn’t necessarily have the power to blast through blockers and deliver jarring force at impact, but he is scrappy enough to free himself from blockers and is able to close the space between himself and the football in a hurry. Igbinoghene could slide inside and play N with his size, but thanks to his elite speed, I think he will stick at corner. Igbinoghene is a speedy athlete who has already solidified himself as a P5-caliber defender. He should play an even bigger role in 2023, giving himself a chance to raise his stock even more.
Antonious Steele Antonious Steele 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Bibb County AL | 2025 State AL – 2025 – WR – Bibb County
Steele is a multi-level playmaker with the versatility to play inside-out and even line up in the backfield. He is a thick 6’1 180 with the size to physically outmatch defenders downfield. Steele is frequently targeted in the screen game where he can break off big runs after the catch. He isn’t a burner, but he has good football speed and relies on his vision and elusiveness to exploit openings in the defense. Steele is more of a north-south runner, but he does have some wiggle and can create his own yards when needed. He shows the ability to track the ball well downfield, frequently making catches over his shoulder and in tight coverage. He is able to accelerate to the spot and create that last-second separation to give himself room to operate. He has noticeably good hands, making acrobatic grabs in tight coverage. On his tape, you will see a remarkable one-handed grab while laying out for the ball. He has the body control and natural pass-catching ability to bail out his QB on certain throws. With Steele’s consistency in his hands and ability to move all over the field, he is absolutely a guy that could get double-digit receptions any given game at the next level. His skills should translate to the FBS level, and he already holds offers.
AJ Rice AJ Rice 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Madison Academy | 2025 State AL – 2025 – LB – Madison Academy
Rice is as physically and athletically gifted as an LB prospect that you will find in Alabama. At a stout 6’2 225, Rice clearly has the size to hold his own at a high level of football. With his frame and the way he moves, he would instantly look the part and hold his own in any FBS LB room. Rice is an excellent athlete with great explosion. He is able to shoot the gaps and get after the football in a hurry, attacking the ball carrier almost at the mesh point. Where Rice really separates himself is with his ability to play in space. He shows excellent discipline in coverage and is capable of running all over the field to cover ground. There are a multitude of reasons why I would send Rice an offer, but the fact of the matter is that he is an elite athlete who is capable of playing at a high level of P5 football. As he continues to develop a mean streak and shows the ability to physically impose his will in the front 7, he should continue to develop into a complete LB prospect.
Caiden Combs Caiden Combs 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL Gardendale | 2025 State AL – 2025 – DL – Gardendale
Combs is currently committed to play baseball at Auburn, but it’s hard to not like his upside on the gridiron. After all, he is an athletic 6’4 250 defensive lineman who has more physical growth ahead of him. Combs is a gritty defender up front that can bust blockers in the mouth and physically overwhelm his competition. Combs is a bit raw and could develop more explosiveness, but he is sudden enough to slip right off the shoulders of blockers and has the heavy hands to free himself from the grip of offensive linemen. Combs is a true run stuffer, showing good range around the line of scrimmage and is a natural tackler who finishes plays with an edge. He also shows the capability to line up at DE and rush the passer. Again, he keeps working the exterior of the blockers and has the range to pursue the QB across the field. Combs has the athletic profile and frame to play CFB collegiately, and do it at a decently high level. While Combs would project on defense, he does take snaps on the offensive side of the ball where he is a very dangerous blocker and even shows some ability to make plays in the downfield passing game.
