Team Overview: The 2023 Golden Eagles Team will be determined to live up to the winning standard it has created. This program is hopeful the 2023 team will reload to become another powerhouse within the Commonwealth once again.

Whats been said: February 2023 – rnHe is 5’11” 170lbs and attends Springfield Central High School in Massachusetts. He was positioned at wide receiver and defensive back for his team during the 2022 season. His athletic numbers are 40yrd time = 4.5, 185lb Bench Press (Reps) = 8, Squat lbs = 335lbs, and Clean = 180lbs.
He has very good overall athletic skills that pop. On the defensive side of the ball, he continuously high-tops the ball when it’s in the air. He can play press-man with good technique and a physical presence that can surely slow down a wide receiver. His hips are loose and he can open them left or right quickly. Has the vision to be a good kick returner as he gets upfield quickly with next-level speed. Impressive and quality defensive back who will gather Div 1 interest before he finds his home.
May 2023 – He is ranked as our #11 Defensive Back in class of 2024 within New England. His performance earned him an offer from Wagner College.

What’s been said: October 2022 – He is an aggressive competitor who can cover really well. His loose hips allow him to be left on an island on top receivers. He has D1 speed and quickness that can easily be seen. He excels in run support. He enjoys giving a blow to any receiver who crosses his path. Has visible burst and explosion. Has good flexibility. I would expect him to get some significant interest from college coaches during 2023 spring and summer camp season if not earlier.

What’s been said: June 2023 – Film Review Analysis: He is a secure tackler who aims at attacking and can strike through the body (1st clip in film), or use a wrap and roll technique. Has good instincts and with ability to find the ball carrier in traffic. Has experience with good technique on how to strip the ball while also making secure tackles. Plays aggressively and downhill on the run. Shows the ability to maintain gap integrity. Has good lateral, reaction, and sideline-to-sideline speed with quickness. Disruptive player with a motor.

Whats been said: February 2023 – He is 6’0″ 185lbs and was positioned as a linebacker for his team during the 2022 season. He attends Springfield Central in Massachusetts. I was informed by a reliable source, that he is extremely aggressive and quick. He surely can play at the next level. A full evaluation will be completed by April 1 or earlier.
March 2023 – He is 6’0″ 185lbs and was used as an athlete for his team during the 2022 season. He attends Springfield Central in Massachusetts. He puts in the off season work needed to improve his skill set.
In view of his film, He has a good frame combined with good athleticism one can easily see. He is versatile athlete. He does a very good job with run support while playing both corner or safety. He reacts to the run with a good burst and quickness while positioned at outside linebacker. He appears as a striker who will tackle through the body with power when tackling. Plays with a physical presence along with consistent aggression each rep.
He surely can play at the next level and being versatile as he is, will give him more opportunities.

A full evaluation will be completed by April 1 or earlier.
March 2023 – He is 5’10 170lbs and was positioned as a defensive back for his team during the 2022 season. He attends Springfield Central in Massachusetts. He is a hard worker in the off-season and can be seen getting his on field work drill periods in on a weekly basis when weather permits. He missed four games during the 2022 season due to injury.
In view of his film, he is quick with good physical reaction to run support needs when the play is to his side of the field while positioned at corner. He welcomes contact. He is willing to squeeze the play inside and then get involved or help move the pile. He has several impressive special team clips that shows his persistent effort to get down field quickly and make a play on the return player.

NOTABLE:
Springfield Central High School opened in 1898. The school added a junior high school in 1922 and in 1936 became Classical High School. Merging two existing schools from other campuses, Classical High and Technical High, the current campus of Springfield Central High School opened on September 3, 1986.
In 2008, the Springfield Public Schools created a mandatory district-wide uniform policy.
In 2010, Springfield Central retired jersey number 3 previously worn by basketball player Travis Best, who was a Parade magazine All-American and later played professionally in the NBA and internationally from 1995 to 2009.
Championship History:
The Central Football team won the Division III State Championship for two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019. The Central Football team won its first Division I State Championship in 2021. The 2022 team made it to the Div 1 Championship and loss to a solid St. Johns Prep Danvers, Ma. Team.
