51.[player_tooltip player_id='209682' first='Tashi' last='Crofut'] 6-0 210 LB Lakeridge

UPDATE: Crofut could make a significant jump on this board before now and the end of the year. As referenced he will be in the spotlight and expected to lead the D, with 3* LB [player_tooltip player_id='152332' first='Ethan' last='Biondine'] making the move back to Mililani, Hawaii

Previous Analysis: With [player_tooltip player_id='152332' first='Ethan' last='Biondine'] making the move back to Hawaii, Crofut will be called upon to lead the D. He had an unreal junior season, making 140 total tackles, with 14 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks. He will be in the spotlight more than ever this season.

52.[player_tooltip player_id='206850' first='Luke' last='Fahner'] 6-1 200 LB Barlow

UPDATE: Expect Fahner to have a 1st or 2nd team all state season with the Bruins projected to be a top 10 6A team. He's a physical athlete who can run, and will be one of the best in the Mt Hood.

Previous Analysis: Fahner made the move to Barlow after earning all-conference honors as a sophomore at Gresham. He earned 2nd team all-league accolades last season and will be in the Mt Hood defensive POY conversation this year. He's an outstanding track athlete (shot put) to boot.

53.[player_tooltip player_id='278403' first='Niko' last='May'] 6-1 180 WR Central Catholic

UPDATE: May had one of the best-off seasons of any player in Oregon, making a nice jump on the rankings board. Even with the Rams being loaded on the perimeter, expect him to be one of the top receivers in the state.

Previous Analysis: May has the potential of being one of the state's breakout WR's and a 6A statistical leader. He caught 24 passes for 282 yards and 3 TDs (11.8 ypc) as a junior. He could very well be a 50+ reception guy this coming season.

54.[player_tooltip player_id='153309' first='Jackson' last='L Babbitt'] 6-2 180 DB Springfield

UPDATE: The Millers have the potential of being one of the top 5A teams in the state. Babbitt will project on D but should help offset all of the attention given to POY Candidate [player_tooltip player_id='206867' first='Connor' last='Dye'] on offense. I would expect new head coach Frank Geske to get him his touches.

Previous Analysis: Babbitt helped himself out last season earning 1st team all-league honors at CB. He will project as more of a Safety but could also be a difference maker on special teams collegiately. His 4 INTs had him listed among the state leaders.

55.[player_tooltip player_id='278374' first='Blake' last='Hurley'] 6-2 185 ATH Sunset

UPDATE: It's no secret Hurley will be the guy for the Apollos this coming season. We will see if his influence will be enough for Sunset after a disappointing year in 2022.

Previous Analysis: Hurley will be a three year all conference athlete and a 1st team all-Metro projected kid on both sides of the ball this season. He was one of the top DBs in the league, making 61 total tackles with 3 PBUs and a fumble recovery, and earning 2nd team all-conference honors. Offensively he caught 23 passes for 292 yards and 2 TDs.

56.[player_tooltip player_id='278414' first='Tyson' last='Hunt'] 6-4 220 OLB Tualatin

UPDATE: Hunt's got great size and a lot of potential but there is still a lot yet to be determined. He has the intangibles to be a legit collegiate prospect if he plays well.

Previous Analysis: The T-Wolves will once again be one of the state's best. That said as Hunt will have some big shoes to fill, considering the talent which has come through the last few seasons (Richie Anderson-Fresno St etc..). He earned honorable mention all TRL honors on both sides of the ball in 2022.

57.[player_tooltip player_id='511788' first='Tobia' last='Tagliabue'] 6-2 220 LB Lake Oswego

UPDATE: I see the 1st team all league LB as a big reason why the Lakers could compete for a conference & state title. If the D can keep offenses in check the sky's the limit.

Previous Analysis: Expect a big year out of Tagliabue and the Lakers after he earned 1st team all-league honors last season. LO was young last season but overachieved. They will bring back a host of experience led by the likes of the big LB.

58.[player_tooltip player_id='278444' first='Andy' last='Soles'] 6-2 220 LB Canby

UPDATE: Soles has legit size and can run. If Canby wins and makes a run come playoff time it will be because of him and the D, as I expect Jimmy Joyce's offense to put up a lot of points, as long as they can stay healthy.

Previous Analysis: Look for Soles to be a conference and state POY candidate at the 5A level. He finished last year with 55 total tackles and 4 sacks in an injury plagued year for the Cougars. He has legit size and overall athleticism and will have a shot collegiately.

59.[player_tooltip player_id='278398' first='Kasen' last='Covert'] 6-0 170 WR Sherwood

UPDATE: One of my favorite players in the state. He's an outstanding overall athlete who will be a Pacific Conference POY favorite. Covert will need to prove that he can be consistent throwing the ball against top competition.

Previous Analysis: Covert had an outstanding junior season, hitting on 64% of his passes for 2,066 yards and 22 TDs. He earned 1st team all-league honors as a junior and has the potential of being the top QB in the state behind [player_tooltip player_id='152354' first='Cru' last='Newman'].

60.[player_tooltip player_id='209499' first='Sam' last='Kline'] 6-2 190 ATH Sheldon

UPDATE: I could see Kline having a monster year for the Irish, especially with all the talent they just graduated. His veteran leadership will be key for one of Oregon's all-time great programs.

Previous Analysis: The Irish graduate a ton of talent as Kline will be called upon to lead this coming season on both sides of the football. Defensively he has done well over the last two years, accounting for 46 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks.

61.[player_tooltip player_id='152351' first='Jaylan' last='Moore'] 5-9 165 CB Sherwood

UPDATE: The Bowmen always play a tough non-league schedule. It will be important for Moore to show what he can do against the state's top receivers.

Previous Analysis: Moore solidified his 3* status this past season, earning 1st team all-Pacific honors at DB and locking up some of the best regional and national competition around on the 7v7 circuit. He's a bubble FCS guy who will need to counter being an undersized DB with his play.

62.[player_tooltip player_id='278370' first='Mitch' last='Mahlum'] 6-3 240 DE Liberty

UPDATE: Mahlum has FCS potential as the size and genes are obviously there. That said there are just a lot of unknowns as his senior year will be telling.

Previous Analysis: The son of head coach Eric Mahlum a former NFL lineman himself. Mitch was a unanimous 1st team all-conference selection but projects more on D in my opinion. Regardless he will be called upon to lead up front next season.

63.[player_tooltip player_id='278372' first='Jacob' last='Hutchinson'] 6-2 180 QB Jesuit

UPDATE: Definitely a kid who could be a legit prospect if he puts it all together. He has the weapons on the perimeter to put up some big numbers if the Crusaders air it out a little more.

Previous Analysis: Hutchinson will be a 3-year starter and someone with the potential of thriving if the Crusaders air it out more. [player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton'] is a legit target with 2025 speedster [player_tooltip player_id='285867' first='Grant' last='Valley'] being another weapon he will have at his disposal.

64.[player_tooltip player_id='511311' first='Cade' last='Gehlen'] 6-0 175 ATH Central Catholic

UPDATE: Gehlen is a baseball guy first who just happens to be a really good football player. The Rams have more talent than they know what to do with offensively so we will see how many touches he gets this season.

Previous Analysis: The University of Portland baseball commit can also play some football. The very versatile Gehlen made 48 total tackles (2nd team), along with 65 touches for 429 yards and 3 TDs offensively.

65.[player_tooltip player_id='225517' first='Jerrik' last='Wangler'] 5-11 190 WLB North Salem

UPDATE: Wangler had a phenomenal junior season and projects as one of the top returning players in the Valley. He did not have his best game in the LSB, but I don't expect that to be the case during the year.

Previous Analysis: Pound for pound one of the top 24's in Oregon. Wangler earned 2nd team all-conference honors at LB last season and could be one of the better RBs at the 6A level with the graduation of Josiah Davis.

66.[player_tooltip player_id='520387' first='Deagan' last='Hodgson'] 6-5 295 OL Barlow

UPDATE: From a size standpoint Hodgson brings a lot to the table. He had a good junior year as the Bruins should be in the mix come playoff time where he can put his talents on display against other top lineman.

Previous Analysis: Hodgson racked up 2nd team all Mt Hood honors last season, and with continued progression and improved mobility, could play a role at the next level. This next year's film will be telling.

67.[player_tooltip player_id='511789' first='Conor' last='Croteau'] 6-4 200 TE Lake Oswego

UPDATE: Croteau had one of the better off seasons of any player in Oregon. He has continued to up his stock as I would expect Coach Coury and the Lakers offense to target him often this coming season.

Previous Analysis: Look for Croteau to be one of the top receivers in the TRL after an honorable mention all-conference year at TE as a junior. He was a huge bright spot for EForce 7v7 the last few months.

68.[player_tooltip player_id='209500' first='Luke' last='Newell'] 6-2 200 ATH Thurston

UPDATE: Everyone is aware of how talented the family is. He had a good performance in the Les Schwab Bowl, but from a recruiting standpoint he is a tweener, and it's tough to see where he projects at position wise.

Previous Analysis: Newell had a good year offensively earning 1st team all-league honors at TE, while catching 16 passes for 417 yards and 7 TDs. That said as he doesn't have the 6-5 frame like his brother, currently at Arizona St. He could play more of a defensive role at the next level.

69.[player_tooltip player_id='472195' first='Kaden' last='Hale'] 6-3 200 ATH Forest Grove

UPDATE: Hale is an athlete who plays QB. He had an outstanding junior campaign, but Forest Grove isn't exactly a contender so we will see how that translates.

Previous Analysis: Hale is a big physical athlete with the potential to play multiple spots on the field at the next level. He earned 2nd team all NWOC accolades, while accounting for 26 TDs (18 passing, 8 rushing) and 2,292 yards (1774 passing, 518 rushing).

70.[player_tooltip player_id='738910' first='John' last='Stone Jr.'] 6-6 300 T Tigard

UPDATE: Speaking of big off seasons. Stone Jr. is all of 6-6 and made some significant strides, showing off that progress at multiple camps. Playing in the TRL we will know right away where he stacks up against top competition.

Previous Analysis: You can't argue with the size, but he will need to back that up with the film this coming season. The Tigers graduate one of the most experienced lines in the state as Stone Jr. will be called to step up.

71.[player_tooltip player_id='209673' first='Aiden' last='Hazen'] 6-0 210 LB Marist

UPDATE: One of the better defensive players in the state regardless of classification. With many leaving Marist including the head coach it will be interesting to see what happens here.

Previous Analysis: The returning conference player of the year defensively earned 1st team all-state honors as well. Hazen is a talented overall athlete (baseball) who made 107 total tackles with 5 tackles for loss as a junior.

72.[player_tooltip player_id='206848' first='Matix' last='Carpenter'] 6-1 260 DL Central Catholic

UPDATE: Some university is going to get a very talented football player in Carpenter. Even with him being undersized, I could see him being the only lineman in Oregon to earn 1st team all-state honors on both sides of the ball.

Previous Analysis: Hands down one of the top overall lineman in the state. Carpenter earned 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the ball, making 41 tackles, with 5 tfl's, and 3 sacks. He's undersized for the position so he will most likely project on D.

73.[player_tooltip player_id='206867' first='Connor' last='Dye'] 5-10 170 RB/WLB Springfield

UPDATE: Look for Dye to run wild this year and get 20+ touches per night. Setting up shop behind 6-5 [player_tooltip player_id='206868' first='Nate' last='Williams'] and POY transfer [player_tooltip player_id='291229' first='Sam' last='Keen'] he will be in good shape.

Previous Analysis: One of the top RB's in the state who will project as a conference POY favorite on both sides of the football. Dye rushed 146 times for 963 yards and 12 TDs, for a much-improved Millers' team that will have the potential of jumping back into the 5A top 10.

74.[player_tooltip player_id='278441' first='Keaten' last='Fried'] 6-1 215 WLB Sherwood

UPDATE: Definitely a kid who upped his stock over the off season. The returning conference POY is consistently up in the mix causing problems for opponents. He could be a sleeper D2/FCS type guy.

Previous Analysis: Fried went off this past season earning 2nd team all-state and defensive POY honors in the Pacific Conference. He thrives in a football setting and was also instrumental in Team ALPHA's success on the 7v7 circuit.

75.[player_tooltip player_id='302220' first='Nicco' last='Simonetti'] 6-0 175 WR Tigard

UPDATE: Simonetti returns as one of the most versatile athletes in Oregon. He will need to have another big year if the Tigers want to compete in the TRL.

Previous Analysis: Simonetti earned honorable mention all TRL accolades on both sides of the football and projects as one of the most versatile kids in the 2024 class. He will be a featured athlete with the Tigers graduating such a deep group.
