COMPLETE TOP 200 + Watch List https://prepredzone.com/2023/07/updated-2024-oregon-rankings-7/

26.[player_tooltip player_id='291229' first='Sam' last='Keen'] 6-3 280 OL Springfield

UPDATE: As noted Keen made the move from 4A Marist to 5A Springfield and should help the Millers compete come playoff time. He has had a very successful off season, garnering preferred walk on offers from the likes of Oregon, NC State, and Rhode Island.

Previous Analysis: Keen made one of the biggest jumps on this board, moving about 20 spots. The returning conference player of the year and 1st team all-state lineman is fundamentally elite and has looked impressive at off season camps. His 2nd team all-state accolades on D helps highlight his versatility.

27.[player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton'] 5-11 160 CB Jesuit

UPDATE: Everyone is aware of the name and what he is capable of. Look for multiple FCS schools to eventually go on him as he's a D1 kid at some level.

Previous Analysis: Burton played lights out again for the 2nd straight season, earning 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the ball. He was one of only two underclassmen named 1st team all-state on defense in 2022 ([player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'] the other). Jace was also one of the Metro's leading receivers, catching 31 passes for 555 yards and 6 TDs. Expect multiple D1s to eventually offer.

28.[player_tooltip player_id='206847' first='Timothy' last='Mitchell Jr.'] 5-10 170 CB Central Catholic

UPDATE: Mitchell broke out early in his career and has the potential of playing at the highest level. That being said he will need to stay healthy and put together some good film early in 23'.

Previous Analysis: One of the most versatile athletes in the entire NW. Mitchell battled injuries but locked up everyone from his CB spot, while scoring 6 TDs in 5 games, and looking like one of the top kick returners in the region.

29.[player_tooltip player_id='152347' first='Hatimu' last='Letisi'] 6-0 255 DE South Salem

UPDATE: Letisi is just really good. Every event or contest which he participates in, he is one of the best in attendance. He continued to put himself on the map this off season, MVP'ing one of the biggest showcases in the nation at Western Oregon and also excelling at the Les Schwab Bowl.

Previous Analysis: One of the strongest players in the state. Letisi earned 1st team all-conference and honorable mention all-state accolades, after finishing in the top 10 in tackles for loss at the 6A level. The only question mark comes with size and what position he will play at the next level.

30.[player_tooltip player_id='154326' first='Luke' last='Womack'] 6-4 195 WR/S Lakeridge OFFERS (2) San Diego, Georgia Southern

UPDATE: Womack had one of the best-off seasons of any player in Oregon. His numerous accolades were followed by multiple division 1 offers, after an outstanding junior season which saw him earn honorable mention all Mt Hood honors on both sides of the ball, and finish tied for 2nd in INTs at the 6A level. He has made the transfer from Nelson to Lakeridge.

31.[player_tooltip player_id='511790' first='Gage' last='Hurych'] 6-1 180 K West Linn COMMITTED: Oregon

UPDATE: One of the top kickers in the nation. Credit to the Ducks for getting on him early as Hurych is also an outstanding overall athlete with legit size. As a junior he earned honorable mention all TRL accolades at DB.

32.[player_tooltip player_id='384689' first='Eli' last='Johnson'] 6-4 200 WR South Salem

UPDATE: Eli continued to up his stock over the off season, MVP'ing a national camp at WR while also excelling on the 7v7 circuit. He will still have to go prove it on the field but as everyone knows the genes and potential are there.

Previous Analysis: Look for Eli to be one of Oregon's breakout performers this coming fall after an impressive showing on the 7v7 circuit so far this off season. The last two years he has caught 27 passes for 307 yards and 2 TDs, but will be a featured target opposite [player_tooltip player_id='130391' first='Parker' last='Williams'], with the graduation of some talented seniors.

33.[player_tooltip player_id='383828' first='Noah' last='Holub'] 6-6 200 TE Valley Catholic

UPDATE: One of the fastest rising recruits in the state. The 6-6 1st team all-league athlete excelled at the recent Oregon team camp and will be on multiple FCS boards this coming season. His combination of size and overall athleticism provides options for schools at the next level.

34.[player_tooltip player_id='511314' first='Brayden' last='Welch'] 6-5 250 DE/TE Oregon City

UPDATE: Welch had a super impressive off season, moving incredibly well for a big athlete. It's still unknown what position he will play in college, but he will be on multiple collegiate recruiting boards this coming fall.

Previous Analysis: Welch has legit size and overall athleticism with the potential to make some big strides on the recruiting front with a good season. He earned honorable mention all-conference honors at DE and looked the part catching balls at Tight End.

35.[player_tooltip player_id='738890' first='Wyatt' last='Wessel'] 6-3 220 LB Lebanon

UPDATE: Definitely one of the fastest rising recruits in the state in my opinion. The returning 1st team all-league LB is long and has great size for the position. Look for him to potentially be one of the best RB's in the state as well.

36.[player_tooltip player_id='207256' first='Tyler' last='Konold'] 6-0 200 ATH Canby

UPDATE: I could see Konold making a big jump up the list and being the 5A POY on D as well. He's that versatile. From a projection standpoint a lot will depend on how dominant he is at the 5A level and what type of film he can put together.

Previous Analysis: If Konold can stay healthy, he will be in the conversation for Oregon 5A POY honors after dealing with injuries most of last season. He had an unreal sophomore campaign, averaging 11.5 yards per carry (1,412 yards/ 123 carries) and earning 1st team all-state accolades. Look for him to be a 1st team all-state guy on D as well.

37.[player_tooltip player_id='152353' first='Caden' last='Negra'] 6-3 175 WR Ashland

UPDATE: Negra will likely dominate 4A competition with the Grizzlies making the move in classification levels. If I was a FCS/D2 program this is the type of kid you take a chance on.

Previous Analysis: When all is said and done Negra could go down as one of the best to ever play at Ashland, which speaks volumes considering the Grizzlies were one of the top programs in the state back in day. Recently the team has struggled going 2-14 in the last two seasons. We will see if him and QB standout [player_tooltip player_id='285886' first='JoJo' last='Harrower'] can change that.

38.[player_tooltip player_id='343699' first='Brian' last='Smith'] 6-3 210 OLB Tigard

UPDATE: If Smith plays well he will get plenty of looks collegiately, especially with his combination of size and length. The TRL is brutally tough once again, so if he can beat those other D1 guys on film within the conference, that should speak for itself.

Previous Analysis: As referenced previously Smith could very well be Oregon's breakout POY year this coming season. He earned honorable mention all TRL honors on D as a junior and has the potential of being a conference POY candidate in 2023.

39.[player_tooltip player_id='278376' first='Connor' last='Cesaro'] 6-3 180 WR North Medford

UPDATE: Cesaro reminds me a lot of 6-5 Black Tornado standout Bryce Dyer from a few seasons ago. Not necessarily as versatile but just a really good football player. He has 1st or 2nd team all-state potential.

Previous Analysis: Definitely one of the top receivers in Oregon. Cesaro broke out last season catching 41 passes for 582 yards and 6 TDs, while earning 2nd team all-conference honors. You won't be able to double both him and Pugliano, as he has the potential of being a 1000-yard receiver.

40.[player_tooltip player_id='130391' first='Parker' last='Williams'] 5-10 170 ATH South Salem

UPDATE: One of the state's most versatile athletes continued his impressive off-season, racking up defensive MVP honors at the Les Schwab Bowl. From a projection standpoint a lot will depend on how he fares against top competition this coming year.

Previous Analysis: Williams has helped himself out on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Alpha, more than holding his own against some of the nation's best. He will be one of the top receivers in the Valley, but projects on D where he made 57 total tackles, with 14 PBUs, and 1 INT, racking up 2nd team all-conference honors last season.

41.[player_tooltip player_id='511301' first='Evan' last='Morris'] 6-3 175 S Sherwood

UPDATE: The 2nd team all-league returner at Safety will be a Pacific Conference POY candidate. He had a phenomenal off season on the camp circuit as people like his length, and overall frame, where legit size can be added.

42.[player_tooltip player_id='738764' first='Eddie' last='Freauff'] 6-4 200 ATH Crook County

UPDATE: Not a lot of people know about the 4A all state DB playing out in rural Prineville, OR but Freauff has a high ceiling. Watch the film and you see a 6-4 athlete who can return kicks and also excel at WR. The overall athleticism displayed on the basketball floor helps as well.

43.[player_tooltip player_id='511303' first='Rocco' last='McClave'] 6-2 175 QB Crescent Valley

UPDATE: McClave is somewhat of an unknown, not doing much on the camp circuit or with 7v7. That said as he put up unreal numbers last season for a team that struggled, making the stats that much more impressive.

Previous Analysis: Recently one of the more talked about QB's by universities. He put himself on the radar this past season after ranking #1 in multiple statistical categories at the 5A level. McClave racked up 1st team all-league honors, while hitting on 62% of his passes and 28 TDs/3 INTs. The Raiders will look to improve on their 1-8 record from last season.

44.[player_tooltip player_id='511294' first='David' last='Hernandez'] 6-6 300 T Beaverton

UPDATE: Hernandez helped himself out on the camp circuit, moving relatively well for a big man. He comes from an athletic family and plays with a mean streak necessary to compete at the highest level.

45.[player_tooltip player_id='597348' first='Athan' last='Palmateer'] 6-2 195 South Salem

UPDATE: Look for Palmateer to have a big year statistically. He made the move back to his home school of South Salem after an incredibly successful off season, which saw him help Team Alpha to one of Oregon's best 7v7 finishes in recent memory.

Previous Analysis: Palmateer made the transfer to Sprague before last season and did well. He is another athlete who has thrived on the 7v7 circuit, making a significant jump on to the rankings board. A lot will come down to what he has to work with, as the Oly's will struggle.

46.[player_tooltip player_id='278371' first='Ryder' last='Swanson'] 6-1 220 DE Oregon City

UPDATE: This kid was off the charts good all off season, MVPing the PRZ event and looking like the real deal at the NW Showcase at Western Oregon. Size is a question mark but pure talent is not.

Previous Analysis: Swanson broke out as a sophomore earning 2nd team all TRL honors and hasn't looked back since. He was impressive once again last season, making 55 total tackles with 7.5 sacks. OC has the potential of being a Top 10 team.

47.[player_tooltip player_id='383829' first='Pierce' last='Walker'] 5-10 170 ATH North Salem

UPDATE: One of the most exciting players to watch in Oregon. Hopefully the Vikings will air it out a little more to let him do his thing on offense. Defensively he plays with no fear.

Previous Analysis: Pound for pound one of the best football players in the state. Walker is one of the few athletes who could legitimately project as 1st team all-conference athlete on O, D, and special teams.

48. [player_tooltip player_id='152328' first='TC' last='Manumaleuna II'] ATH/QB North Salem OFFERS (6) Utah, Miami, Oregon, Florida St, Portland St

UPDATE: Great kid. Super talented family. It will just come down to how he performs and whether or he's able to put his talents on display at North.

Previous Analysis: As stated numerous times everyone is aware of the talent within the family and TC's potential. From a recruitment standpoint it will come down to how he performs this off season and what type of film he can put together his senior year. If he's throwing 3-5 times per game, it will be tough.

49.[player_tooltip player_id='278385' first='Nick' last='Sakys'] 6-2 210 QB West Linn

UPDATE: This will be the off season QB matchup to watch between him and [player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy']. The Lions are in great shape regardless but Sakys will need to play in order to showcase what he is capable of.

Previous Analysis: Sakys is in a unique spot with all of the talent at the QB position. As a sophomore he looked outstanding in limited time, hitting on 68% of his passes (32/47) with 5 TDs. This past season he played behind Michigan St commit Sam Leavitt. Next year he will battle with super talented 2025 QB [player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy'].

50. [player_tooltip player_id='206868' first='Nate' last='Williams'] 6-5 270 T Springfield

UPDATE: One of the biggest upsides of any athlete in the state. Williams possesses the necessary size to play a high level of collegiate ball but must be dominant at the 5A level to justify that.

Previous Analysis: Williams will be a four-year varsity guy and three year all conference kid, earning 1st team all-league accolades last season. He has upped his stock as much as any O lineman statewide, using his physicality and no-nonsense approach to dominate 5A opponents.
