By now, we all know how much talent there is in the state of Florida, and while we try to promote each and every one to colleges and universities, it is never easy to do.

With the season right around the corner, there is a need for college coaches to know which prospects continue to fly under the radar.

From the Pensacola area right down to Key West and in every city and town in between, there are talented football players that coaches, parents and athletes themselves shake their collective heads at why a student/athlete isn't getting more interest from a school. Prep Redzone Florida has been committed to covering the ENTIRE state live and in person and not from some computer who shoots out names with no knowledge of the prospect.

Today we bring you five quality prospects that we will shine a spotlight on:

2024 - Adrian Hill, DT, 6-1, 265, Lutz Steinbrenner. Talk to his coaches and all will say the same thing about this young man. Even poll opponents and they will explain how this big, strong, athletic and smart football player does not come along very often. He gets off the ball quick, knows how to use his body and hands and is tough to stop in his pursuit of a runner or quarterback. In addition, he holds down a 3.7 GPA in the classroom – only adding to his recruiting package.

2025 - [player_tooltip player_id='830584' first='Shawn' last='Simeon'], RB/Athlete, 5-10, 180, Naples. In a program that has churned out more than its share of quality running backs, you can now add another to the list. While he remains under the radar screen for now, that all has to change as more and more colleges watch him run. Great burst and a strong upper body that allows him to shed tacklers and continue to use his speed to pull away. As he gets stronger, he will be tougher to bring down from just grabbing his shirt. Too much balance and athleticism.

2024 - [player_tooltip player_id='896104' first='Ryder' last='Varis'], WR/Slot, 6-0, 190, Cocoa Beach. After making the move from to 1S state champion Cocoa this week, this gifted prospect has now landed at nearby Cocoa Beach, and continues to be a prospect that college coaches need to keep an eye on. Here is a classic slot receiver who has everything it takes to be successful, and no matter where he lines up, he will always do something positive. He also had the opportunity to compete for 2021 5A runner up Merritt Island where his winning lineage will continue add to his overall package. His work in the classroom is like icing on a cake – with an impressive 3.7 GPA.

2024 - [player_tooltip player_id='1122779' first='Jackson' last='Ward'], LB/DE, 6-4, 235, Pace. 3.2 GPA. Not only do we have the chance to watch a number of prospects during a year, but we also talk to high school and college coaches about athletes to get a full perspective of what they bring to the table. First, here is a prospect with a motor that never stops, and before the ball is snapped, you have better account for where he is lined up. He can drop into pass coverage, rush the passer from the middle of the field or chase down a runner. His motor is amazing, and more and more college coaches need to see what he does during games. Way under the radar!

2025 - [player_tooltip player_id='830603' first='Chance' last='Washington'], RB/LB, 5-11, 228, Plantation American Heritage. From the time he entered high school – this is someone who has all the eyes on his play. As a freshman at Davie Western, he dominated – often too much to bring down on one hit. This is a worker. He goes to every showcase and is not afraid to take on competition at every level. Right now, he happens to be among one of the best group of running backs in the state – with two nationally-rated backs, so if a move to defense is dictated, it will be because this is too good a talent to keep on the bench or role play. Over the next two years, things will change in a major way for this gifted talent.
