We do recruit by computer. That is so 20 years ago. By seeing these young men you can find out a lot as they open up their character that goes way beyond football, and that is something that the hundreds of college coaches who follow what we do are simply blown away by.
In a recruiting universe that is based only by watching film in the comfort of your home – often times not even in the same state – there is a who new world of evaluating talent. If these “analysts” continue to promote you but you’ve never met them, what does that say for what they are saying to college coaches about you? Let that sink in.
Our objective now – and throughout the season – is to promote, evaluate and expose prospects who are under-the-radar. Here are five more today:
2025 – Jaden Key Jaden Key 6'4" | 245 lbs | RB Riverview | 2025 FL , TE/DE, 6-4, 250, Sarasota Riverview. Earlier this year we had the opportunity to watch a number of prospects. Some that many have been able to put their eyes on – while others who were jumping on to the radar screen for the first time. One of the prospects that grabbed our attention was this young man. Great size, tremendous athleticism, and a passion for the game. Our instincts have proven to be right. All off-season, wherever he has gone and what events he has taken part in, this impressive young man, who is just going into his junior year, turned heads. By the way, his 5.0 Weighted GPA in the classroom will also add to what he has going on. College coaches need to watch this young man now!
2024 – Theodore Sands, WR/CB, 6-0, 165, Zephyrhills. There’s a feeling at this school that if you throw the ball in his direction, this quality talent will come through and make nothing into something big and special. He is a tough and instinctive slot receiver who causes safeties and linebackers fits because of his speed and overall athleticism. Has dependable hands and as a kick returner, it’s best not to boot the ball in his direction. This young man is a gamer and loves to play the game – whether it be on offense, defense, or special teams. In addition, he also holds down a 3.86 GPA in the classroom.
2024 – Antonio Smith, QB, 5-10, 180, Miami Central. In this world we are presented with many obstacles, and if you are at that next level and put in the work, those barriers become smaller and smaller. Take the case of this quality talent. In December, after the 2022 season had ended, he left Miami Killian to head back north where he lives and attend Miami Central. While the move looked sound at the time, the Rockets, who continue to dominate the high school football landscape in the state and nation, made a move to bring in two other prospects at the position. One, a senior from Texas, and the other a junior from California. While many “experts” have been waiting for Smith to leave and head to another program, his talent, accuracy, and leadership has left him right in the middle of a true battle. A solid spring and tremendous summer has made the job a real three person race – and as we sit here six weeks from the 2023 season – he is still there, waiting for his chance to lead this team into the season. That is a mark of a championship kind of player and person.
2024 – Jayden Taylor Jayden Taylor 5'10" | 190 lbs | DB William M. Raines | 2024 FL , SS/Athlete, 5-10, 182, Jacksonville Raines. Once again, we are using the word production to describe a student/athlete. In a football world where people want to talk about star-rating and size, maybe putting the focus on producing will add up to young men like this not having to wait until their senior season to get some of that spotlight. How about 76 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 1 quarterback sack, 2 interceptions and 6 pass breakups! This is a football player who loves the game and goes out and shows it in practice, in the off-season and on every Friday night during the season. He is serious about the and in the classroom (3.1 GPA). What’s not to like, here?
2024 – Parker Webster, CB, 5-9, 160, St. Augustine Tocoi Creek. The game of football is a sport that lets you combine skill, passion, and hard work to add up to success. It’s not a sport that is only reserved for the big and speedy. Here is the perfect example of someone who loves the game, plays with passion, and produces. In the world of stars and hype, the reality is production, and when you produce, you already have a huge advantage. This is someone who has played below the radar because his measurables may not add up. But by producing – like two defensive touchdowns, three interceptions and four forced fumbles, things start to add up.
