Coming in at No. 15 is one of the fastest and most explosive receivers and overall weapons in the state. Playing for the powerful Buford Wolves, the favorite in 7A this season, Jordan Allen Jordan Allen 5'8" | 170 lbs | WR Buford | 2025 State GA is a major weapon who can absolutely fly down the field. He may not be the biggest receiver around, but he brings game-changing speed and versatility to the Buford offense. He can line up on the outside or in the slot, as long as he has the ball in his hands with some space to run. If he does, he’s hard to contain. That’s one reason why we have him ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in Georgia for the 2025 class. His best football is still away ahead of him, and that’s a scary thought for opposing defenses in 2023. His speed stands out immediately, but he also shows burst, acceleration, impressive ball skills, and the ability to run routes and create separation. He holds an early offer from Georgia, and it certainly won’t be his last.
Edward Coleman Edward Coleman 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Calvary Day | 2025 State GA – Calvary Day
One of thee top overall weapons in South Georgia, Coleman is a Savannah native, who like Allen, brings eye-opening speed and explosiveness. A sure-handed receiver at 5-foot-10 180-pounds, Coleman loves to snatch the football and get upfield in a hurry. After a big sophomore season where he caught 30 passes for 546 yards and 8 touchdowns. Coleman has shot up the Prep Redzone rankings all the way to the No. 2 receiver in the state. He’s improved more and more this off-season and has started to see his recruitment take off, earning offers from Georgia, Arkansas, Cincinnati, among others. As good as he was as a sophomore in 2022, look for Coleman to keep improving and make an even bigger impact as a junior for a Calvary Day team with deep playoff aspirations.
James Johnson James Johnson 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Douglas County | 2025 State GA – WR – Douglas County
Coming in at No. 3 in the newest wide receiver update, Johnson is a big-play receiver west of Atlanta at Douglas County. A quick, crafty route-runner for his age, Johnson is one of the top breakout junior receivers to know about next fall. The 6-foot-0 175-pounder is a a smooth runner who can get open down field and make plays behind a defense. He can change directions well and showed easy D1-caliber hands and overall playmaking ability. He plays bigger than his size and showed to be tough to bring down once he gets rolling down the field. After an impressive sophomore season where he caught 31 passes for 614 yards and three touchdowns, his recruitment starting to really take off, earning offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, among others. Now ranked as the No. 29 prospect in the state, expect Johnson to have a massive junior season this upcoming fall.
Travis Smith Jr – WR – Westlake
One of the top wide receivers in the Atlanta area heading into the 2023 season, Smith Jr. is a long, athletic wide receiver who saw his recruitment soar over the last few months. After earning a major offer from the Georgia Bulldogs earlier this spring, the big 6-foot-4 190-pounds earned a new offer this week from Florida Atlantic and a few others. He dominated during the 7-on-7circuit this summer, showing off his easy D1 caliber size, talent and overall ball skills. A sure handed pass-catcher. Smith Jr. is now ranked as the No. 4 wide receiver in Georgia for the 2025 class. He now holds major offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Colorado, and Georgia. Look for him to have a giant junior season for Westlake in 2023.
