The quarterbacks on this list may have been overlooked in some form or fashion up to this point in recruiting but make no mistakes about they can all ball! All of them proving that they can lead their teams to post season success. If you don’t know their names now, you will after this season.
Connor has great touch on his deep balls with his ability to drop it in over DBs. He also has a quick release when throwing RPO’s making it hard for defenders to react. Connor threw 25 touchdowns as a junior and lead his team to the playoffs. A proven winner, he is at the helm of a high powered Titans offense with his ability to put the ball on the money. Connor’s game translates very well at the college level and look for him to light up the stat sheet again this year.
Highlights
Valentino has a live arm! He can throw it on a frozen rope to his WR’s with great touch. He was able to lead the lions to the 5A state championship game last year with his playmaking ability. The coaches at Peoria do a great job utilizing his ability to change the pocket and throw on the move. That paired with his ability to take the top off the defense with his deep ball, makes him very difficult to prepare for. I expect Valentino to come out strong this fall and lead Peoria to another great season.
Ryan may not have the prototypical size at the QB spot but that hasn’t stopped college coaches from noticing this off-season. This dual-sport standout shows his baseball background has helped him on the gridiron with 31 TD’s thrown last season and only 3 INTS. Ryan shows a great understanding of the offense he is running, rarely putting the Lyon’s offense in bad situations. Ryan was one of the reasons the Lyons had so much success last year making it all the way to the quarterfinals in the 8A playoffs.

Braylon will be making the transition from 2A to 8A this year. The recent O’Fallon transfer looks to build off of last years success with his new team. Much like the rest of the QB’s on this list Braylon can make all the throws. He does a great job escaping pressure while keeping his eyes down field to extend plays. Last year Braylon accounted for 21 total touchdown’s leading his former team to the playoffs. I look for him to have a breakout season with his new squad.
Kamren is a true dual-threat quarterback. The 6’3 lefty prove last year that he can hurt a defense with his legs all year long. With the ability to still distribute the ball through the air as well, Kamren can give most teams fits with his playmaking ability. The former wide receiver has only played QB for a short time but he has shown improvements as a passer every game. I expect this to be his best year as he enters the 2023 season behind center.
