These guys are going to make some recruiting coordinators look like a genius late in the recruiting cycle. (Gainesville Red Elephants) The 6’2 dual threat QB led the Red Elephants to the 6A Title game in 2022. He had a 71% completion rate last season, throwing for 3343 yards and 40 touchdowns. Threw only 4 INTs in 307 attempts and had the 2nd highest QB rating among the top 20 passers Statewide. He added 563 yards on the ground with a 5.5 yards per carry with 9 TDs. Has an official offer from Navy but has received heavy interest from Georgia Tech.
(Brookwood) The 6’5 200 Waldrop will be under center for the 3rd consecutive year as a starter for the private school in Thomasville this Fall. The pro-style QB has thrown for over 6300 yards with 63 touchdowns over the last 2 seasons and has been twice selected GIAA All State. Waldrop caught the eyes of the PrepRedZone staff earlier this year with his performance at the combine. He showed a strong arm and was able to throw the deep passes accurately. Has caught the attention of several P5 schools and will be a steal for someone late in the recruiting cycle.
(Rome) The 6’0 186 Fountain enters his 4th season as the starting QB for perennial powerhouse Rome Wolves. He has passed for over 7004 yards in his career, with 3101 coming last season, with 55 career touchdowns. Accurate passer with a 75% completion rate. Two sport athlete that excels on the baseball field and in the classroom with a 4.2 GPA. Was the MVP of the Georgia Elite Classic Junior game in ’22. Has offers from Ga Southern, Samford, WKU, and Wofford. He has a lot of talent returning around him this season so we look for Fountain to have another huge year to close out his high school career.
(Schley County) Probably gets overlooked because of his size at 5’11 185 but the kid gets it done. He threw for 3266 yards last season with 37 total touchdowns in leading his team to the State Championship game. Good drop back passer that throws the deep ball accurately. Quick enough to move around in the pocket to avoid pressure and tough enough to stand in and take a hit. Four sport athlete who participates in football, wrestling, weightlifting and baseball. The All State QB will be a great addition to a school at the D2/D3 level. A competitor and a winner.
(Troup Co) Another guy that maybe overlooked at the QB position because of his height. The 5’9 185 dual threat QB can get it done. The best overall athlete at the QB spot in the state. He accounted for over 4000 yards total offense in ’22, 2000 on the ground and 2000 in the air, with 56 total touchdowns. A weight room warrior that has a PC max of 300. Compact, muscular build that makes you think of Jalen Hurts. Received an offer from Georgia Tech from the previous coaching staff. Has picked up several offers this Summer from Northern Illinois, SE Missouri, Liberty, Army/Navy and South Alabama. He has the speed and athleticism to make an outstanding slot receiver or defensive back in the QB position doesn’t work out.
