Corner Canyon Chargers
Corner Canyon finished as the 6A runner ups a year ago and will once again be one of the top contenders in the state’s top classification. The Chargers return several key contributors from last year’s team, including three of our top five players in the class of 2024. Quarterback Isaac Wilson Isaac Wilson 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT and receiver Tate Kjar Tate Kjar 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT are one of the state’s best offensive duos. They will be supported by one of the state’s best offensive lines, led by recent University of Utah commit Isaiah Garcia Isaiah Garcia 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT . Defensively Kash Dillion Kash Dillion 6'5" | 205 lbs | LB Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT and Bo Tate Bo Tate 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB Corner Canyon | 2024 State UT will lead a ferocious Corner Canyon defense. Head coach Eric Kjar and the Chargers could find themselves back in the state championship game for a fifth straight year.
Bingham Miners
The Miners won Region 3 last year and will have a shot to win Region 2 this fall. Carson Sudbury Carson Sudbury 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Bingham | 2024 State UT , one of the state’s top returning athletes, is back after an impressive junior campaign. He can make game-changing plays as a running back and receiver. Offensive linemen Nick Hallock Nick Hallock 6'5" | 230 lbs | OL Bingham | 2025 State UT leads the Miners up front and will make sure Bingham remains one of the top rushing offenses this fall. Defensive linemen Jaice Tupea Jaice Tupea 6'2" | 225 lbs | DL Bingham | 2025 State UT and Will Van Cott Will Van Cott 6'4" | 235 lbs | DL Bingham | 2025 State UT will provide consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. While defensive back Charger Doty Charger Doty 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Bingham | 2025 State UT will lock down the back end of the Binham defense. Head coach Eric Jones and the Miners could be in for another deep postseason run.
Mountain Ridge Sentinels
Mountain Ridge has steadily improved each year and could be one of the state’s top teams this fall. Running back Semisis Kinikini is back after being one of the top rushers in the states in 2022. Offensive linemen Adam Hawkes Adam Hawkes 6'5" | 250 lbs | OL Mountain Ridge | 2024 State UT and the other Sentinels up front will open plenty of holes for Kinikini this fall. Wide receiver Ryker Renteria Ryker Renteria 6'0" | 155 lbs | WR Herriman | 2025 State UT is an exceptional route runner and is set for a breakout season. Defensively Mountain Ridge has one of the state’s top pass rushers in Taylor Higham Taylor Higham 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Mountain Ridge | 2025 State UT . He can win with speed and uses his hands well. Head coach Mike Meifu and the Sentinels will be a force to reckon with for any team they face off against.
