The summer is starting to wind down and the season is fast approaching. In this week's recruiting news and notes, we take a look at some prospects that had strong camp performances at the Central Arkansas camp this week. We will also get you caught on the recruiting headlines making news across the Natural State. Let's close out our Saturday with a look at recruiting in the state of Arkansas.   [player_tooltip player_id='321739' first='Luke' last='Coon']-Wide Receiver-Bentonville-2024   All offseason, [player_tooltip player_id='321739' first='Luke' last='Coon'] has done a tremendous job of showcasing his route running and soft hands. He does a great job of creating separation from opposing defensive backs and he put that talent on display in Conway this week. Coon is setting the stage for a strong 2023 season and is a wide receiver to keep an eye on this season. Coon has the speed that college coaches are looking for at the receiver position. He has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='216278' first='Da'Shawn' last='Chairs']-Running Back-Elkins-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='216278' first='Da'Shawn' last='Chairs'] is one of the most explosive running backs in the class of 2024. Chairs does a great job rushing between the tackles. Meanwhile, he is dangerous when he gets into the open field. Chairs has a second gear he gets to and can leave opposing defenders trailing behind him. He has had the opportunity over the past few days to visit both Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State in Arkadelphia. The team that lands Chairs gets a playmaker the moment he steps on campus.   [player_tooltip player_id='528511' first='Eric' last='McGehee']-Quarterback-Little Rock Parkview-2024   One prospect that has flown under the radar is Parkview quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='528511' first='Eric' last='McGehee']. McGehee does a great job of throwing the football with accuracy. He is able to throw his wide receivers open. McGehee has a good sense of knowing when to escape the pocket and either pick up yards with his legs or make the throw downfield. The Parkview signal caller earned a scholarship offer from Central Arkansas on Saturday. Congratulations go out to McGehee on the offer from Central Arkansas.   [player_tooltip player_id='399175' first='Sam' last='Paladino']-Offensive Line-Little Rock Catholic-2025   An offensive lineman to watch out for over the next couple of months is Little Rock Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='399175' first='Sam' last='Paladino']. He has tremendous versatility along the offensive line. Paladino can play every position and excel at each one. Paladino continued to open eyes this week with his impressive play. He did well at the Central Arkansas camp earlier in the week and he has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor']-Offensive Line-Greenwood-2026   One prospect that has had an extremely busy offseason is Greenwood's [player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor']. However, he is not quite finished with the camps and recruiting visits. The talented Greenwood lineman will be attending the Baylor Bears' camp on July 29th. Taylor has also been invited to attend the U.S. Army Bowl Combine that is being held in Frisco. Taylor has exploded from a recruiting perspective, and I do not expect that trend to stop.
