Although losing some key seniors, make no mistake about it they are loaded on both sides of the ball and have multiple top players at each position. Below, we will breakdown some of their top heavy roster and see what is in store for this Fall.
Wilson is a 4-star defensive back with elite cover abilities, twitch and very technically sound in man coverage with strong ball skills/high IQ in space. He is a 20+ offer kid with national offers from across the country, but is currently committed to Texas and has been since mid June. He will lead the backend for the Wolves in 2023 and be a big part of this loaded defense. Wilson is a multi-year caliber starter at the P5 level and could potentially be playing on Sundays.
Cumberland is one of the best players in the entire country in the 2026 class and is already very physically developed for one a rising Sophomore. He is a heavy handed pass rusher with good bend, a variety of speed/power rush moves and plays with a tremendous motor. Able to play all over the defensive line, he already has 10 offers going into this Fall with the likes of Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Oregon amongst the group.
Highlights
Tapley is another 4-star prospect on this loaded roster that is currently committed to Arizona State and is a big time get for the hometown Sun Devils. He had offers from Kansas, ASU, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico State, and Nevada among others and has some nice upside at the next level. He checks in inside our top two at the ATH position in our current rankings and will be one of the better two-way guys across Arizona this Fall.
Freeburg is a very twitchy playmaker that can make plays from the slot or on the outside and is an elite route runner with precise cuts and strong hands in traffic. Georgetown, Iowa State, Utah Tech, Army, and NAU also offered Freeburg and even though committed, it would not be surprising if others offer through his final season. He went for over 1,400 yards receiving last Fall and can beat man coverage off the ball with good downfield speed and a open field burst in the clear.
