Prep Redzone’s 2023 Preseason All-State Series (7A Second-Team)

Continuing today in the final days of summer workouts is Redzone's Preseason all-state series, in which we will provide as many players as we can that we deem impactful enough to draw such a title before the 2023 season. In hopes of bringing to light the many names who could end the year at the top of their position Prep Redzone is working our way through the classifications, continuing with our second-team all-state 7A squad! Take a look below at our previous pieces in this series!   <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/07/prep-redzones-2023-preseason-all-state-series-7a-third-team/">7A Third-Team All-State</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quarterback</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='205133' first='Tyson' last='Bradden'] | North Little Rock   Earning high praise in a much anticipated year for North Little Rock, [player_tooltip player_id='205133' first='Tyson' last='Bradden'] and company seem to have the offensive firepower to compete at the highest level.   "[player_tooltip player_id='205133' first='Tyson' last='Bradden'] (6-3, 190) is a 2025 recruit who is about to make his presence felt this fall. He shows a skill set similar to KJ Jefferson's at Arkansas with his ability to use his large frame and toughness to pick up much-needed short-to-go yards. Like Jefferson, Bradden understands pressure situations and how to escape to keep the ball alive whether on the ground or through the air. He uses the pocket very well and shows good accuracy in all parts of the field.   Pairing Bradden with [player_tooltip player_id='180373' first='Jace' last='White'] will give North Little Rock a solid offensive tandem to rely on this fall. With Bradden ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No.13 player overall, North Little Rock will sport two players on the offensive side of the ball ranked inside the top 15 in the state." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/05/recruiting-spotlight-studs-in-arkansas/">Recruiting Spotlight: Studs in Arkansas</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Running Back</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='262854' first='James' last='Martin'] | Bryant   "A running back deserving of quality looks by collegiate coaches, [player_tooltip player_id='262854' first='James' last='Martin'] (5-10, 200) is the full package. His specialty seems to be getting small through holes and making himself near impossible to tackle, he has the ability to become a very slippery ball carrier. He runs extremely hard and loves the contact that playing running back brings, he doesn't shy away from the hits or collisions instead he welcomes and embraces them. His back and jump cut abilities are superb in opening running lanes and creating his own yardage." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/05/up-and-coming-seniors-ready-to-roll-in-the-fall-of-2023/">Up and Coming Seniors Ready to Roll in the Fall of 2023</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='183595' first='Omar' last='Murray'] | Fayetteville   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wide Receiver</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='166998' first='Mytorian' last='Singleton'] | Bryant   According to Tom Tabler from his late June recruiting piece, Singleton is enjoying offers from division 1 schools and should definitely enjoy the fruits of his labor his senior season.   "The Bryant wide receiver is a dynamic route runner. He does an excellent job of creating separation from opposing defenders using his route running and speed. Singleton has the speed to stretch the field deep and the Bryant coaching staff does a great job of getting Singleton the football. Singleton earned a scholarship offer from Central Arkansas earlier in the week. I expect a big season from the talented Singleton over the next few months." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/06/recruiting-news-and-notes-6-24-23/">Recruiting News and Notes 6-24-23</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='193040' first='Graycen' last='Cash'] | Rogers   Beginning in the spring the hype began to build around this special player for the Rogers Mounties. From his speed, length, athleticism Cash doesn't leave much to be desired.   "The Rogers wide receiving corps is going to be difficult to contend with this upcoming season. Cash has the athleticism to go up and high point the football. Cash has good speed and uses it and smooth routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. The Rogers wide receiver had a strong 2022 season and I expect that trend to continue this upcoming season. Cash is another prospect to watch out for on the 7-on-7 circuit as well." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/03/camps-combines-and-7-on-7-news-3-5-23/">Camps, Combines, and 7-on-7 News 3-5-23</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='149602' first='Shawn' last='Rycraw'] | Bryant   [player_tooltip player_id='149602' first='Shawn' last='Rycraw'] will be a key piece in what is shaping up to be a loaded Bryant Hornet club this season. This speedster has the attributes to spread the field and make highlight catches at any part of the field.   "[player_tooltip player_id='149602' first='Shawn' last='Rycraw'] has been a dynamic athlete for the Bryant Hornets over the past few years. He has explosive speed and has no problem stretching the defense deep. Rycraw makes plays with the football and the defense must account for him the minute that he steps on the field. He has put in the work this off-season and got up a to top speed of 21 miles per hour. Rycraw is a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/07/putting-in-the-work-7-9-23/">Putting in the Work 7-9-23</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Offensive Line</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='708856' first='Connor' last='Simmermon'] | Rogers   [player_tooltip player_id='708856' first='Connor' last='Simmermon'] is a lineman for the Mountie's who sets the tone for the whole team. Look for this big guy to open some eyes and gain some recognition this fall.   "[player_tooltip player_id='708856' first='Connor' last='Simmermon'] is an offensive lineman that does a great job of playing with a chip on his shoulder. He has the strength to overpower opposing defenders from a run blocking perspective. Simmermon uses his speed well to help clear a rushing lane for his running backs. He is an offensive lineman that does a great job of reading the blitz. His speed and power mix is what allows him to help keep his quarterback off of the ground. Simmermon is a prospect to watch out for on Friday nights this fall." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/07/prep-redzone-arkansas-july-2024-new-additions/">Prep Redzone Arkansas July 2024 New Additions</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='211197' first='Ryan' last='Nolan'] | Little Rock Central   [player_tooltip player_id='172913' first='Sergio' last='Loyola'] | Bentonville   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Defensive Line</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='260419' first='Kaden' last='Spencer'] | Fayetteville   Our own Tom Tabler was on [player_tooltip player_id='260419' first='Kaden' last='Spencer'] back in April and Spencer has continued his momentum here in late summer with his recruiting interest and hype heading into 2023.   "Over the past few seasons, [player_tooltip player_id='260419' first='Kaden' last='Spencer'] has opened plenty of eyes. He has good speed and is powerful. He does a great job of getting into the opposing offensive backfield. Spencer uses his mix of power and speed well to put pressure on the quarterback. Last season, he did a good job of getting his hands up to alter the pass and affect the quarterback's timing. Spencer is a player to watch out for this weekend. He is a prospect I expect a big season from in 2023." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/04/prep-redzone-arkansas-showcase-prospects-to-know-part-2/">Prep Redzone Arkansas Showcase: Prospects to Know Part 2</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='149585' first='Ethan' last='Enlow'] | Bentonville   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Linebacker</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='248888' first='Isaac' last='Chapman'] | Rogers   Tom Tabler immediately highlighted [player_tooltip player_id='248888' first='Isaac' last='Chapman'] following the 2022 season as a player to watch this upcoming season. Part of an overall talented roster, Chapman looks to lead Rogers in a quest for a visit to War Memorial in December.   "The Rogers linebacker is a defensive prospect that attacks the offensive backfield. He does an excellent job of using his speed to get into the backfield to disrupt the opposing running attack. Meanwhile, Chapman does an impressive job of being able to put pressure on the quarterback. Chapman is a versatile prospect, having seen action on the offensive side of the ball as well as the defensive side of the ball. He also lined up on the kickoff coverage unit. Chapman is a 2024 linebacker that I expect to have a big 2023 season and he is a player to keep an eye on this offseason." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/02/2024-disruptive-linebackers-to-watch/">2024 Disruptive Linebackers to Watch</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='861794' first='Benjamin' last='Chandler'] | Conway   [player_tooltip player_id='861794' first='Benjamin' last='Chandler'] is going to be a difference maker for the Wampus Cats in 2023.   "Ben Chandler (6-1, 205) is a well-rounded player with exceptional fundamentals in coverage skills and run defense. His ability to read plays and anticipate quarterback movements and decipher receiver routes makes him a valuable asset in coverage. Chandler's technique and quick downhill reactions enable him to stop runs before they break the line of scrimmage. Additionally, his remarkable closing speed and powerful tackling add to his impact on the field. Chandler's overall skill set and disciplined play make him a standout defender capable of disrupting opposing offenses on a regular basis." <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/06/2024-linebackers-rolling-into-this-upcoming-season/">2024 Linebackers Rolling Into this Upcoming Season</a>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Defensive Back</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='149596' first='Jordan' last='Foster'] | Bentonville   [player_tooltip player_id='264654' first='Jaymion' last='Hardin'] | Little Rock Central   [player_tooltip player_id='221288' first='Isaiah' last='Taylor'] | Fayetteville   Prep Network's Tom Tabler tabbed [player_tooltip player_id='221288' first='Isaiah' last='Taylor'] in February as a player to take note of in 2023. Taylor should have a special swan song in Fayetteville.   "The Fayetteville defensive back is going to be a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season. Taylor has the speed to play the cornerback spot and he is physical enough to play the safety position as well. [player_tooltip player_id='221288' first='Isaiah' last='Taylor'] impressed many last season with his physical play and tackling ability. The talented Fayetteville defensive back earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas-Pine Bluff this week.
