From prospects that blew up their recruiting in Fargo, to 2026 prospects that have that blue-collar work ethic any college program will want at the next level, and much more we keep it moving from what we saw at the NDSU prospect camp.
Reis Kessel
Reis Kessel
The tight end at the NDSU prospect camp that made the biggest name for himself to college radars by far was Fargo South’s Reis Kessel. At 6’5 205 pounds, Reis impressed me with the fluid base of footwork he showed off in Fargo. He also with that length showed off significantly much more twitch off the snap than you would expect at his size. I also was intrigued with how much length he had with his strides with his route running and I see plenty of upside there to grow with his instinction on his routes. Reis also showed off plenty of downhill burst from what I watched up at the NDSU prospect camp. What I thought passed the test for college coaches with Reis was how physical he showed off to be with his pass-catching thru heavy contact on the bulk of the reps I watched as you commonly see the Bison have always had some forceful tight ends in the hands department like Reis. After getting a handful of NSIC offers in the end Reis decided to become another hometown talent keeping his talents in Fargo. Reis will be a big time stockriser in my upcoming update of our 2024 rankings too in North Dakota.
Damarius showed off an elusive prospect on both ends of the field from what I watched out of him in Fargo a couple Saturdays ago. This young man showed off how much of a versatile change of direction he has no matter which side of the field he lines up on on Saturdays. I like the upside Damarius has brewing with his rotational instincts with his ball-tracking ability as I saw it rep after rep that this young man has a ceiling yet to grow in a college football program. He certainly is a prospect that could have success on either side of the football field however defensive back looks like his next-level fit in my eyes.
Highlights
Yusuf Jama
Yusuf Jama
Yusuf was a first look 2026 prospect that I kept my eyes on at the NDSU prospect camp from making my several circles around the FargoDome. What first popped out to me about Yusuf was how catchy his first step was with his burst from the start of his routes as this kid also showed off really well tuned agility for his age with his change of direction. He also showed more than you see on tape with his hands, as Yusuf made a handful of catches a couple Saturdays ago that showed off how much upside this young man has for his football future. Yusuf will certainly be an addition to our 2026 rankings in North Dakota from his impressive showing in Fargo.
Jack was a running back prospect that was another first look prospect for Minnesota’s 2025 class up at NDSU and one that showed off plenty of consistent skillsets in what I watched out of him. He showed off a prospect that at 6’0 210 pounds that showed off longer strides than his measurables might show you from my eyes. I also liked how coordinated Jack was with his balance as a pass-catcher especially when he got around the edges of the field inside the FargoDome. On tape, Jack excels swiftly at middle linebacker, as he shows off that quick twitch of agility off his first step to power into the backfield and uses his vision well in high traffic areas to make fluid contact levels on the ball carrier by also using his quick shedding hands. At the next-level, Jack’s best fit looks in my eyes at linebacker as his agility will be a fun add to a college football program with the solid upside he has. Jack will certainly be a 2025 prospect from NW Minnesota I will be tracking a bunch this upcoming fall with his junior season.
