Mississippi 3A Sleeper Teams

These teams have showed some great growth during the summer. They also have some players ready to shock the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Kemper Co</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kemper County is moving up to 3A from 2A. They have a good team returning this year. A lot of their 2025 players including Mario Nash are ready to hit the field rolling. They are going to playing in some spread. They also have a new head coach this season. Darius Wren will be taking over things in Dekalb. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Amanda Elzy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Elzy has some players that are ready to line up and play football this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1126782' first='Jevarion' last='Glover'] is a quarterback that has a lot of potential. Expect to see him doing some big things this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1121305' first='Detrick' last='Munford'] is a guy they will have holding things down on defense. He is a three-star quarterback that teams are starting to pursue heavily. Him and [player_tooltip player_id='350966' first='Zion' last='Nunn'] are going to put up some big numbers in that Booneville offense. They will score a lot of points this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Hazlehurst </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We all know that Hazlehurst is capable of making it to the state title game. They have done some before and won. This year they have [player_tooltip player_id='691290' first='Tre' last='Ellis'] to ride behind on offense at running back. He will be a heavy load to keep up with. He is also going to be their guy on the defensive side of the ball. Hazlehurst could easily see themselves playing in the South State title game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
