We are back for another installment highlighting the best that Kenosha county has to offer. The Class of 2024 is a deep one down in Kenosha county. With schools like Bradford, Tremper, Westosha Central, among others, there are plenty of places to look when searching for the next impactful recruit. Today I am going to help shine the spotlight on even more of those potential recruits. Let’s get right into it.
St. Joseph Catholic Academy has an exciting talent at the QB position. He fits the mold of a dual threat athlete, and he has such an explosiveness and quick twitch to his play on the ground that he could help a team at more than just QB. Put him in positions where he can get the ball in space and he will be able to hurt a defense. Or let him line up at DB and use that effective change of direction to run with WRs in man coverage. A team can be creative in finding ways for him to fit their team. Eric has an offer from Valpo, and is also a talented basketball player.
Another member of the SJCA roster to know is the 6’1″ 230 lbs DL Adrian Als Adrian Als 6’1″ | 230 lbs | DL St Joseph Catholic Academy | 2024 State WI . Adrian plays both sides of the trenches, but DL looks like his most natural fit. He has short area burst and lateral agility to win with quickness at the snap. Adrian can be elusive in the trenches as he crosses his OL’s face or uses a counter move off his first move. I can see Adrian working his way into a D3 prospect. Don’t overlook the DL while recruiting Kenosha county.
A kid rising up the board for me is the Kenosha Bradford DB Colin Freitag Colin Freitag 6’0″ | 155 lbs | DB Kenosha Bradford | 2024 State WI . The safety is a rangy prospect, and despite being only 155 lbs he will play downhill and smack RBs/WRs. He can line up deep and get to the line of scrimmage to make those hard hits. He transitions his speed into hit power as he wraps up and runs through opponents. Colin’s speed makes him a big impact in zone coverage. He can bait QBs, close, and uses his hands well to break up passes with good timing. Freitag has a well rounded game, and should be on the radar of more coaches. Expect to see him climb the rankings.

A new name on my radar that I uncovered during the research of this article is the 6’3″2 40 lbs DL out of Indian Trail. The IDL looks like a stout run defender who can stand up his OL and control the trenches. The big man also has some range to be able to close on the ball in the backfield, and solid change of direction. His primary traits are his size and strength though. Mitchell is going to get penetration and set the tone in the trenches. He has earned himself some D2 interest along the way, but he is still looking for that first offer. Check out his highlights below.
We wrap up our coverage of the Kenosha county standouts with the long, 6’2″ 170 lbs DB out of Tremper. Riley is another new prospect on my radar. Riley showed promise in 2022, and 2023 should be where he breaks out. He is a well rounded DB prospect. You can rely on him to be aggressive against the run and short passing game caught in front of him. He fights through blocks and is a sound tackler. In coverage, Riley has solid athleticism and quick twitch reaction to be able to play man coverage. Lampada does a good job with his hand use in coverage also. He times his break up attempts well. Riley is another athlete looking fo rthat first offer. Keep an eye on the athlete this fall.
