Charlie Mosley
Mosley is a well-built back that offers very good size and a sturdy lower half. He is an above-average athlete for his size but like most bigger backs, he lacks some of the agility and top-end speed to make him a big-play threat at the next level. Mosley is a downhill runner who showcases patience, vision, and discipline when working to the line of scrimmage. He is able to quickly identify the hole and put his foot in the ground and get upfield. He flashes just average short-area burst and is a build-to-speed runner who only has one gear. Mosley displays very good contact balance and runs with good pad level. He routinely breaks arm tackles and is able to push the pile forward in short-area and goal-line situations.
Cooper is an incredibly fun, instinctual runner. He creates a lot of hidden yards for himself with how he sets up tacklers, churns his legs, and pushes the pile. He’s naturally instinctive in setting up holes to attack and his ability to feel cuts with anticipation help him win the line of scrimmage and set up second-level tacklers to be out of position. He’s built low to the ground and uses that leverage to his advantage to play off of contact.
Highlights
He plays with good vision and patience, allowing his blocks to set up. White offers value as a scheme versatile runner, to an extent. He has experience running in both zone and gap-blocking schemes. I do believe that his skill set best fits a power/gap scheme allowing him to get downhill with momentum. He will bring a brawler’s mentality to his team’s rushing attack. He runs with an attitude and physicality that is difficult to prepare for.
Brown is a running back who possesses above-average agility and elusiveness. He is a north/south runner who displays good short-area burst through the line of scrimmage and into the second level. He has above-average vision and he does really well to find cut-back lanes and use his burst ability to hit the hole for big gains. Brown has good overall speed and acceleration and can defeat angles in the open field. If he is given room, he has the speed and burst to break long runs and take it the distance.
Emadd Howard
Emadd Howard
Howard is a skill-specific player and keeping him within the parameters of his skill set is essential to getting quality production out of his game. He’s an upright runner and his frame offers long strides, which don’t lend themselves to picking through traffic. He does offer patience to allow blocks to develop, however, offering some optimism that he can either play in inside zone systems or downhill gap concepts.
