This article will look at five incoming senior receivers from the 4A classification that all scouts must know.
Samuel Endicott | Vista Ridge | 6’1”, 193lbs
For those who know of him, Endicott is perhaps one of the more anticipated incoming seniors in the state. This fall will be his first season in Colorado after moving from Virginia, and he has already garnered two in-state offers from CSU-Pueblo and Colorado Mines. He put on a show at CSU-Pueblo’s prospect camp, which landed him his offer from the ThunderWolves. His speed, frame, and physicality make him the ideal prospect. Endicott is on track to become a legitimate Division I prospect, especially running with the Vista Ridge Wolves.
Owen Mellish Owen Mellish 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Monarch | 2024 State CO | Monarch | 6’1”, 190lbs
Mellish is a talented receiver who has seen a promising rise in his stock value. He recently earned his first D1 offer from Dartmouth, which was shortly followed by another from Bucknell. This go-to target has all the intangibles that an offense would expect from a true playmaker, putting Mellish in a situation to be a breakout recruit this fall.
Trey Olsen Trey Olsen 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Loveland | 2024 State CO | Loveland | 6’1”, 190lbs
Olsen is a two-way player who has what it takes to play at the next level on either side of the ball. He has a solid frame and physical playing style to match. He recently earned his fourth offer from Chadron State, making him a sought-after player. Even though Olsen will more than likely end up playing on the defensive side of the ball in college, his athleticism and physicality could make him the perfect candidate for the offensive side of the ball as well.
Alex Sweeney | Erie | 6’2”, 170lbs
Sweeney is more of a low-flyer on the radar, but he is in a prime position to explode onto the scene and make a name for himself as a breakout prospect. Being on the team with one of the top 2024 quarterbacks in the region should help bring attention his way, especially if the Tigers have a deep playoff run for another consecutive year. Sweeney’s length gives him a wide catch radius, making him a go-to target in a lot of coverage situations.
Anthony Cobb Anthony Cobb WR Broomfield | 2024 State CO | Broomfield | 6’1”, 170lbs
Cobb is a speedster with the skills to be a true deep-threat receiver. He played a significant role in Broomfield’s championship run last season, a performance that he could potentially repeat with the 2025 phenom the Eagles have at QB. Despite having a solid championship junior season, Cobb is still a low-flyer as a prospect with the potential of seeing an immediate change in status this fall.
