Continue ReadingConnor Laverty Connor Laverty 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Bernards | 2024 State NJ is a star in the Big Central Patriot Gold division. Playing QB for Bernards, Connor had a stellar junior season while lighting up the scoreboard with 17 passing touchdowns and 3 on the ground, alongside 1259 passing yards and another 311 on the ground as well. Connor is a strong armed lefty with great size for his position. Right out of the play fake he keeps his eyes downfield while determining his best options. He is able to get his shoulders around and dart the ball on a line or loft it over the defenders on the deeper routes. Connor is agile in the pocket and makes guys miss in the pocket or tucks it and runs.
Jack Wistuba
Jack Wistuba
Jack Wistuba is Voorhees’ do it all player. Lining up as a receiver, QB and even found on the defensive backfield, Jack can make plays wherever he is on the field. As a receiver, he gets down the field very quickly and finds ways to get open. I could see him thriving strictly as a slot receiver in the future. However, Jack also plays a big role from the QB position too. Jack is a very elusive ball carrier. He sets defenders up and dodges out of their way as they go in for the tackle. He’s also got the speed to dart by defenders as he tucks it and runs. He can be a lethal runner from the QB position.
Terrence Hanratty
Terrence Hanratty
Terrence Hanratty is a powerhouse on both sides of the ball. A soon to be junior RB for Bernards, Terrence brought the ball into the end zone 8 times last season and ran for 473 yards. Terrence runs with a full head of steam; he is going to be hard to stop in 2023. He is bigger than you’re average back and is about to cause some bruising next season on those that attempt to tackle him. He is also surprisingly agile for a bigger RB. On defense, Terrence lined up as an edge rusher that collapses pockets and causes the QB to make poor decisions. He is determined to make a play in the backfield . With 55 tackles last fall, I foresee him forcing a lot of turnovers in 2023 and hitting double digit touchdowns on offense.
Anderson Olcott Anderson Olcott 6’4″ | 200 lbs | LB Delaware Valley | 2024 NJ is Delaware Valley’s centerpiece on defense. The 2024 linebacker totaled 91 tackles last season and sacked the QB once as well. A clean defender lining up at the middle linebacker position, he is a technically sound player that consistently plays smart. Anderson has a motor that is always running while he aims to make a play on the ball. Anderson had a successful 2022 campaign and will continue to get the job done this fall.
