5A Sleeper Teams

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are some teams that schools are expecting to be that good. We have taken the chance to break those teams down. These teams have showed some great growth during the summer. They also have some players ready to shock the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Brookhaven</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='617238' first='Xavier' last='Gayten'] is going to have a big season for Brookhaven. He will be one of the top players in the 2024 class. He is a stud that plays both ways. Brookhaven is going to have a good season behind his great playing. Brookhaven has a very nice offensive line. They will get a lot of yards behind them. They also have a nice defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>New Hope</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We expect the Trojans to be very successful this season. The Trojans have some tough guys on defense. They are team that is going to have to worry about West Point and Lafayette this season. They have the talent to hold up to most teams they will face. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Provine </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='346402' first='Braiden' last='Clayborn'] is another player that I think is very underrated. He is guy that is going to help lead provine on defense. I don't expect them to go out there and win a state title. However, I can see them making the playoffs. This team is known to be one of the best in the Jackson Metropolitan area. Look for them to have a decent season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Natchez </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Natchez has a great defense to play behind. [player_tooltip player_id='920478' first='Jakel' last='Irving'] is a sophomore that does a great job of playing defense for Natchez is moving up to 5A from 4A. They love to ride behind great speed. There are some very fast guys that come through Natchez. They have a chance to make the playoffs this season with the team they have. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
