5 Of The Highest Rising 2025 Recruits In Indiana

<p>The 2025 Rankings Update is live and we're looking at 5 of the highest-rising recruits heading into the season that schools should be watching closely.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='894085' first='Jamari' last='Pearson'] - Northside - ATH - 6'2" 165lbs</h2>   <p>Pearson may have had the best spring out of anyone in the entire state. Back in April he attended a college day and showed so much flash and potential that he got some offers on the spot and earned a 3-star ranking nationally. However, when you look at why, you can't help but get excited. You've got the best athlete on the field who stands at 6'2" and can outrun and outjump anyone. He showed fantastic 1-handed grab ability and was dominant in the red zone. He's a wildcard defensively as well. You can throw him in the backend and watch him ball hawk and clean up the backend of the defense. Either way, long-term all the obvious raw talent and skills are there. With Pearson, it'll just be where he wants to play and who is the best fit. </p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@JamariPearson</strong></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='662336' first='Carmine' last='Orozco'] - Mishawaka - DL - 6'4" 270lbs</h2>   <p>Orozco is getting traction for all of the right reasons. He's not only coming off of a dominant season but then he's got the tangible and intangible traits you want in a defensive linemen. He's naturally really strong but is only going to continue to get stronger as he hits the next level. He's able to bull rush, come off the edge, and play the run in any spot up front. Last year he put up 48 total tackles, most of which are near the LOS. He was making drives longer for teams on the regular while being able to move around and cause confusion. There's a reason he's begun to get the national traction he deserves. Whoever takes the time to go over to Mishawaka Highschool and get familiar with Orozco could be that much better on signing day. His ceiling is as high as they come and wherever he ends up should be getting an impact player upfront.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@Orozco_Carmine</strong></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='422840' first='Caiden' last='Abbs'] - Carroll - OL - 6'4" 275lbs</h2>   <p>Abbs is heading into this season as one of the most reliable pieces for Carroll upfront. There are going to be some new faces for the offense, but having your Tackle return to continue blocking for your ascending QB is a big win in itself. However, that being said it's what Abbs brings to the table now, and long term, that should have him on the radar. For his age, he's a fairly sound recruit and likely spends more time doing footwork than most other OL and it's noticeable. He's never caught flat-footed and does a great job staying off his heels. He's got a good drive off the line in the running game and as he develops in a collegiate lifting program, could be more dominant in smaller spaces and short areas than defenders will anticipate. He's dealt with quite a bit of stunts and blitzes from the edge he's had to pick up. By the time he graduates, he's going to have 3-years starting at the highest level of football in Indiana and being a centerpiece for that offense. He's 6'4" and is good on the move. He's also just a smart player who picks up on the tendencies of a player and uses them against them as the game goes on. Knowing football is one thing, knowing how to read your opponent and react is another, and Abbs has that ability. I feel comfortable saying it's not going to be long until he begins to pick up some much-deserved traction.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@CAbbsFB</strong></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='894086' first='Mariyon' last='Dye'] - Elkhart - DE - 6'5" 240lbs</h2>   <p>Dye is a fantastic multi-sport athlete who has potential on the court as well as the football field, but ultimately I believe is football all the way. That being said, either way, he's still a great athlete and has rare size. He's 6'5" 240lbs right now but moves like he's 6'1" 210lbs. He's very fluid, off the line quick, and can go side to side just as quickly as downhill. His incredibly long arms give him the reach and shed ability that most DEs with they could have. He's always going to make first contact and that gives you an immediate advantage in every rep. Being able to shove your opponent back before they can reach you changes so many things in that matchup alone. Dye then has the natural strength to be able to continually move them and go about his business. If Dye lands in the right program that develops him in the weight room and gives him the technique and extra moves/knowledge, he could feast at the next level. Dye is already well-known, but he's an easy bet as someone to continue to rise and rise until he nears the top.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@MariyonDye</strong></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='147046' first='Stratton' last='Fuller'] - Columbia City - WR - 5'11" 160lbs</h2>   <p>Fuller might be the best WR in the state that only a select few have ever heard of. And truly, it's a shame. He's gotten some eyes here and there, but as consistent and talented as he is, it won't be long until the secret is out and the wildfire starts. He's got great speed and ability to move. He's got fluid hips and tracks the ball as well as anyone. He then has the ball skills to bring down anything that comes in his vicinity. Whether it's right at his chest or under or overthrown, he makes the right adjustment. He's also always open, defenses know that's where they want to go with the ball, but yet still can't stop him. He's already put up 73 receptions for 1194 yards and 19 TDs in his career. He was a solid contributor as a freshman but got better and better as the year went on. He followed that up with the massive breakout year and through 2 years, has proven to be one of the best player Columbia City has had in a long time. They've had some good players, and even do now, but I think highly of Fuller. He's not that small school WR who looks good until he lines up against a collegiate recruit.
