Harrison is heading into next season looking for a bigger role in the offense. He got some Varsity action last year but mainly played JV where he looked fantastic. He's a good runner who is willing to be patient and see things happen in front of him. He's not in a hurry to get out the backdoor or to immediately bounce everything outside which is a good thing to see. He's got a nice frame and seems like he could take the hard hits repeatedly. In his Varsity action last year, he put up 160 rushing yards and 2 TDs, so he's shown he's at least capable of the flashes you want in a back. I think he's got the talent, it'll just be whether or not he gets a bigger role now that he's an upperclassman and some opportunity has opened up. If he takes full advantage of his chances, Harrison could skyrocket up the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='894087' first='Josiah' last='Mabon'] - Portage - WR - 6'0" 165lbs

Mabon is an upcoming WR who is a really shifty player that can cause a ton of damage. He's able to cut and change direction on a dime while not losing any speed. He's got pretty elite top-end speed and then is lengthy with long arms that allow him to make some nice grabs. This spring and early summer he's looked like a new player with a ton of confidence. He's always shown the flash but is becoming more consistent and is flying down the field. His issue is having to slow up for some deep shots. Last year he was used at RB at times as well as WR. They just wanted to get him on the field, get his feet wet, and see what he could do. He averaged 7.4 yards per carry in his 11 attempts and then added 13 receptions and a TD. If Mabon comes out and has the year he's hoping to, he's going to be a statewide problem.

[player_tooltip player_id='825427' first='Tristan' last='Johnson'] - Fishers - DB - 6'0" 160lbs

Johnson is a rising DB with a ton of ability and potential. He's looked good at multiple camps this spring as well, including the Prep Redzone showcase where he left as one of the best-performing DBs. He's got great range and instincts. He's lengthy and has really good closing speed which gives him a bigger bumper for error than some other DBs. He's not greedy and doesn't jump on bad routes or try to do too much. If he hits the weight room and develops over the next 2-years, he'll be one of the best DBs in the region. From my observations as well, he seems to be wired the right way when on the field. He doesn't get too high or too low. He's fairly level-headed and doesn't let a bad play spiral. Johnson seems to be a true play-to-play DB with all the intangibles to be a stellar player at the next level if he lands at the right place and develops the right way.

[player_tooltip player_id='615952' first='Jrue' last='Kante'] - Noblesville - DL - 6'1" 270lbs

Kante has had his moments of excellence while playing for the JV squad over the past few years where he's had a few dominant plays as well. However, he hasn't played much Varsity yet but that should change this fall. He's got 2 tackles and 1 hurry in his game played. He's decently strong and does a good job on the interior. He's able to get penetration and get in the backfield as well as play the run. He's not going to overpursue or miss the tackle when he gets the chance. If he can develop in the weight room as well as continue to pick up on things on the field as he gets reps, he should begin to really flourish. Kante heads into the fall with a bigger opportunity sitting in front of him and it'll be up to him to see what he does with it, but the raw talent is there to take off.
