The CFC Top 100 game was this summer's largest stage for the top talent around Canada to showcase what they have in the national spotlight. There may be no prospect who put on a better performance than North Vancouver Running Back Ethan Dahl. Dahl found the endzone for a pair of TD's including both in the air and on the ground.

Dahl at 5'9, 220-pounds is not your stereotypical power back. With elite strength and solid cut back ability, Dahl was able to snap off a 55-yard receiving TD as well well as displaying his power in the run game from a 1 yard goal line punch-in. The speed of Dahl is not something that jumps off the screen however you could expect him to be in the 4.6 range. What makes Dahl a top three back in the country those is his elite vision.

Dahl's film is such a great display of a runner who can find the holes and make you pay for not wrapping up. As well, he can be seen taking snaps out of the wildcat formation and taking the zone read inside or out. It's not often you see a 220 pound back be given the chance to take snaps and make a decision with it but I think that speaks to the high football IQ Dahl possesses out of the backfield.

Whether he's lined up in power, eye, or even out of shotgun he's always a threat to score. In Dahl's film you can consistently see how he's rarely ever taken down my a single tackler. As a pass blocker he also tends to step up and make the right read. I did notice in the CFC Top 100 game, very rarely was he put in pass blocking schemes but was very active in the passing game. Whether it was wheel route out of the backfield or simple screen out of gun, it was clear Dahl is not the typical back.

With Dahl expecting to land a slew of Canadian offers in the coming months, I expect a few D1 schools to even take a look into the “BC Bowling Ball”.
