I have identified several prospects who have gone relatively unnoticed throughout their high school careers. Below, I detail why these specific prospects have next level tools to be solid blockers in college.
Adrian Soto
Adrian Soto
Adrian Soto is a two-sport athlete out of Clark High School. Adrian has been to camps at Minot State and UNLV this summer. Expect more schools in the region to recruit the interior OL prospect before 2024 gets here.
Adrian’s strength shows in his anchor in pass protection and in the leg drive that moves defenders in the run game. Patience and quickness show mirroring speed rushers in pass protection. Quick hands and a strong anchor show stopping power rushers in their tracks in pass protection.
Alex Bobbera Alex Bobbera 6’6″ | 315 lbs | OL Arbor View | 2024 State NV is a staple on the offensive line for Arbor View High School. Alex has been to camps at Utah Tech, Arizona State, and UNLV this summer. He holds one offer from Coahoma Community College; Expect more to come in before it comes time for Alex to graduate next summer.
Alex’s next level size and strength shows in pass protection as he holds his ground with a single punch that stones pass rushers upon contact. Good power and football IQ shows taking strategic angles to linebackers as a run blocker. Coaches like seeing Alex’s combination of balance, quick feet, and reactive athleticism displayed as a pass protector.
Hudson Lile
Hudson Lile
Hudson Lile is a good sized tackle out of Rancho High School. Hudson has visited the Air Force Academy in the past and most recently attended a camp at UNLV. He has also had a virtual visit with Carleton College. Don’t be surprised when Hudson receives his first offer close to home before this year ends.
Hudson shows quick hands and a flexible base overtaking defensive ends and drive blocking them in the run game. Power shows knocking out linebackers with one punch at the second level. Hudson’s patience, lateral quickness, and solid anchor display his ability to be a next level pass protector.
Jordan Avila Jordan Avila 6’2″ | 270 lbs | OL Bishop Gorman | 2024 State NV -Vera is one of the more underrated Bishop Gorman prospects. Jordan received his first offer from Bethel College in May. Be on the lookout for more regional offers to come in before Jordan’s senior season ends.
Jordan’s power and strong latch shows overtaking bull rushers and pancaking defensive linemen in pass protection. Quickness and good effort shows mirroring defenders who fail to escape his grasp at the second level. Jordan’s anchor and athleticism shown staying in front of pass rushers highlights his next level pass blocking ability.
Highlights
George Dragovich George Dragovich 6’5″ | 315 lbs | OL Liberty | 2024 State NV is a tackle for Liberty High School who has good size to kick inside at the next level. George visited Utah & BYU in March and most recently attended a camp at UNLV. I am surprised more schools in the region have not invited George to campus. Watch for more than campus visits to come in before George’s senior season has finished.
George’s next level anchor and quickness shows staying in front of edge rushers as a left tackle. Good power and competitiveness shows consistently driving defenders from the point of attack. George’s experience playing multiple positions on the line combined with good strength in his leg drive highlights his ability to be a versatile run blocker at the next level.
