The Penn Manor Comets have gone 5-5 in back to back seasons and are our hoping that this 2023 campaign will get them over .500 for the first time in the John Brubaker era. Entering year 9 as their Head Coach, Coach Bru has some seniors that he can work with, but his younger classes have some players to keep an eye on. Playing in a very competitive Section 1 of the LLBerks League does the Comets no favors, with a schedule that includes 5 playoff times from a year ago, nothing will be easy.

Penn Manor faces an uphill battle annually as they have to face perennial district 3 favorites Wilson, Manheim Township and Hempfield every season. They will also take on much improved Cedar Crest and Reading squads, so suffice to say even getting back to 5-5 would be impressive. With the number of seniors who have graduated, I am not sure if the Comets are ready to compete this year, but I really like they're chances in 2025 and 2026. They have a stable of young talent and with the way their coaching staff has been working, Penn Manor is long overdue for another playoff run.
