Continue ReadingWINONA, MN– After a brief vacation out east, we punched the clock on this Monday night with more standouts from the Winona State prospect camp we attended last Saturday which included approximately 70-75 prospects in attendance. This list had a great mix of underclassmen that left their mark amongst our two scouts in attendance, as incoming seniors at camp that are in the prime-time of camp season to get an offer come their way especially at the Division II level. We also met the only kicker in attendance who came from the Iowa 1A State Champs from the 2022 season from Van Meter, Iowa who looks like a next-level specialist in my eyes.
Katie Lindsay, Kicker, Van Meter (IA) 2024 Twitter
Katie impressed me with her consistency with her accuracy on the field goals I got to watch last Saturday in Winona. I thought she showed off to be a significantly quick learner with her football IQ from the coaching she was given at the Warriors prospect camp, as I saw her hangtime improve substantially from start to finish of prospect camp in Winona. She also showed off great length in her kicking leg from 35-40+ yards from the kicks I got to watch out of her at camp. Katie should certainly attract some scholarship level college football suitors in the coming months.
Aiden Vercautren, LB/TE, Moline (IL) 2024 Twitter
Aiden was one of the tight end/linebackers that caught me on his first look with the dexterity he showed off athletically. As a tight end, he showed off a well-balanced catch radius from the reps I got to watch from him in 1v1s and Indy Drills. I also liked how strong this young man was with his hands on and off the ball as he displayed good skillsets when working off the ball with his pad-level that packs the punch with his physicality. With some development with his balance with his footwork on his blocks and growing a more elusive first step, I like this kid’s chances of playing on Saturdays in the coming year.
KD Reiland, LB/RB, Kingsland (MN) 2027
KD is a younger prospect I have been waiting to watch in a live-evaluation setting since being told about him over the last 6 months ago from my Prep Redzone Next colleague Alan Popadines and he certainly passed the eye test we have been waiting to see live. I love KD’s twitch he showed off with his change of direction from the early testing session and then diving into Indy Drills. He showed off how efficient he will become in short-space at the linebacker position with his upside that is certainly brewing in the right direction for this freshmen to be at Kingsland. Much like his older brother Kaaleem Reiland Kaaleem Reiland 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Kingsland | 2026 State MN , I love also how well this young man is built with his character from our communication last Saturday as a prospect on both side of the ball that is extremely humble and as my eyes could tell in reps is a quick-learner with his stock-rising football IQ. As he grows, KD will certainly be one that will be playing on Saturdays in the next several years as his potential is soaring in my eyes.
Dane Guzzo, QB, Winona Cotter (MN) 2026 Twitter
Dane was my favorite 2026 quarterback I got to watch at the Winona State Camp by far. He showed off a local QB prospect that is a great decision-maker for his age and showed off he can throw the ball with great poise on all three levels of the football field. He also caught my eyes with his ball placement as he showed off advanced precison for his age and I thought was one of the most consistent quarterbacks I got to watch last Saturday in Winona even evaluating him with the older group of upperclassmen. He certainly showed off a prospect with plenty of potential to watch develop over the coming years as one of the top underclassmen quarterbacks from Southeast Minnesota in my eyes in the 2026 class.
Teagan Fox Teagan Fox 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Franklin | 2024 State WI , LB, Franklin (WI) 2024 Twitter
Teagan showed off some highly open hips that he showed off with his change of direction. Teagan also impressed me with how much instinct he plays with from start to finish in the Indy Drills I got to watch last Saturday as he looks like a prospect that plays with a high-level of work ethic. I loved watching the fire he showed off with his first step, as a DB prospect that has a very high football IQ no matter where he is trending around the football on the inside and outside edges. That vision Teagan has within his downhill motor to the ball should certainly attact some next-level suitors this Spring. Teagan has picked up a few Division II offers already, and is certainly not done yet as he also has ideal measurables at 6’2 205 that I feel plays way longer than what those measurables show off with his athleticism.
Justice Stewart Justice Stewart 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Ashwaubenon | 2025 State WI , DB/QB, Ashwaubenon (WI) 2025 Twitter
Justice was an impressive defensive back prospect that passed my eye test from his reps in 1v1s specifically. Regardless of which route he was given to track the ball on, Justice did a great job with unlocking his hips with his footwork to adjust to the plethora of routes and consistently made noise within the wide receivers path to the ball. I also loved this kid’s physicality he showed off from start to finish as you can certainly tell this is a DB prospect that you can put in consistent man-coverage and he will get it done for your team with his stamina as well. I also like on tape the vision that Justice shows off, as he can adjust quickly to the free-runner and then trend into the next-level of the field with the balance and athletic ability he has on his plate. He also plays with a solid bite of length that plays longer on the field at 6’0 155 pounds. Looks like a scholarship level prospect in my eyes.
Ryan Doede Ryan Doede 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Iola - Scandinavia | 2025 State WI , OL, Iola-Scandinavia (WI) 2025 Twitter
Ryan was the first offensive linemen at the Winona State Prospect Camp that intrigued me as he showed off excellent work-ethic from straight to end of the camp and I also liked watching the balance with his footwork as he showed good fluidity in his lower body from his reps I watched all afternoon long in Winona. I also liked the depth he showed with his stance when he got into Indy Drills showing off a good base for his size. He showed off one of the most physical hands in 1v1s with the speed with them he showed off and also it felt like rep after rep, his pad-level got better each time from what my eyes engaged. You would be surprised to find out, that this young man’s upside is huge, as he hasn’t even put up his tape yet from the 2022 season and from catching my notepad a handful of times from the Winona State Camp, I would expect more college programs to catch this young man’s radar soon, as he is due for a big junior season for the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds at 6’2 260 pounds.
KJ Suggs KJ Suggs 6'3" | 170 lbs | DB Holy Family Catholic | 2024 State MN , DB/WR, Holy Family Catholic (MN) 2024 Twitter
I have heard and watched KJ a bit this Spring from the 7v7 season so he was a prospect I had circled upon arrival of the Winona State Camp. This young man showed off a high plethora of length in his testing logging an impressive 8’10 broad jump from the early testing session. For his size, I really liked watching KJ’s change of direction and dexterity from watching him in Indy Drills and 1v1s as he showed off a solid balance in his finish as a pass-catcher in my eyes. The length this kid brings to the table shows off some elusive skillsets on both sides of the ball when you watch his tape as he showed off at camp that he has some strong vision with his ball-tracking ability. He also has a great football IQ, as within the routes running I watched from KJ, he has a natural feel for adjusting to charge back to the ball with his reps. He is certainly a versatile prospect with great positional flexibility to watch for the next-level to watch for at camps this summer.
