The University of South Florida hosted another One Day Camp setting which provides prospects the chance to be coached up, trained, and compete with talent across the state. The spring/summer camp sessions are beginning to wind down but still is an opportunity for risers to get noticed and on coaches' radar. Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson attended the camp to get a look at the program and produce a reliable list of notable standouts. Let's get into some of the names that caught my attention on Sunday.

CAMP DOGS

Zsacari Minnis | EDGE | CLass of 2024 | Eustis | @Zsacarim6ix

Minnis was my overall MVP of the camp because of his sheer ability to win out every rep I saw during the 1v1 session. At 6'3, 220-pounds he had the most developed frame of the defensive line group and showed off he's not just a big body but has good hand technique and speed. A true hidden gem with a few offers but could potentially play Power 5 ball

Xavion Griffin | DB | Class of 2024 | Vero Beach | @xaviongriffin15

One thing that solidifies a reliable defensive back is the swagger and ability to walk the walk after talking the talk. Griffin was easily the most vocal kid at the camp but was dominant during the 1v1 period, getting about 10 reps or more because he was ready to go. Really good coverage skills and recovery speed to make plays on the ball. I like his game and will have eyes on him as the fall season approaches.

HIGHEST UPSIDE

[player_tooltip player_id='404260' first='Jamar' last='Taylor Jr'] | WR | Class of 2024 | Lakeland | @JamarTaylorJr1

Taylor looks like he's put on a size to his already college-ready frame but still moves with slickness and smoothness when he runs routes. He will be one of the top WR prospects in the area because of his bag of skills but will be interesting to see how much buzz he can generate at Lakeland High. Has potential Power 5 ability and will see an uptick in offers during the fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1123185' first='Jameson' last='Young'] | DB | Class of 2024 | Lakeland | @jamesonyoung12

Young has attended about three camps in a row this week but still came to USF to show off his developed DB mechanics and coverage skills for the coaches. He's a lengthy DB that can be disruptive with his hands and progressing technique. Young is committed to FIU but will hear from many schools as his recruitment continues to rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='829406' first='Jordan' last='Magwood'] | QB | Class of 2025 | Carrollwood Day | @jordanmagwood9

Always good to watch Magwood spin it. He was an under-the-radar QB that made a name for himself during college camp season last year but has shown that was no fluke. He continues to add to his frame and QB mechanics combined with his already laser-like arm strength. Made a move over to Carrollwood Day to start his junior campaign and will surely continue to gain interest from schools.

Under The Radar

[player_tooltip player_id='606130' first='CJ' last='Bragg'] | WR | Class of 2024 | Cocoa | @CJBragg6

It's simple. [player_tooltip player_id='606130' first='CJ' last='Bragg'] catches everything thrown his way. No matter what camp he continues to stand out and show off his advanced route running bag with sure hands. Has to be attractive to some of these Florida colleges as he continues to impress but Bragg can surely impact a school at the next level.

EJ Archield Jr | QB | Class of 2025 | Robinson | @EJArchield

Archield continues to develop and impress after recovering from a recent foot injury. It was nice to see him spin it and show off why the buzz around his recruitment is legit. He dominates the 7v7 and camp-like sessions because of his impressive frame combined with good footwork mechanics, arm strength, and ball placement. Archield picked up a big-time offer from Ole Miss in the spring and will look to continue creating buzz around his recruitment heading into the fall season. Still, plenty of time to develop and add to his bag of skills.
