Highlights
Hornbarger’s a brute force as a run blocker from his OG spot. He moves efficiently down the line as a puller and eliminates edge defenders with downhill power. He drives DTs off the ball and opens lanes between the tackles with consistent hand placement and dominant strength. He’s a high-effort player and a grinder in the trenches on both sides of the ball (DT). Hornbarger could move into the top-10 2024 OL in NV with a strong follow up to his junior season.
Dominic Griese
Dominic Griese
Griese’s an intriguing weapon in a talented WR corps that also features the #1-WR in the state, David Washington David Washington 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Las Vegas Academy | 2024 State NV , and 2026 standout, Jayden Williams Jayden Williams 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Arbor View | 2026 State NV . He’s a clean route-runner operating inside and possesses strong, natural hands that can pluck the ball out of the air. He holds a physical, filled-out frame at 5’10”/190 and shows athleticism/body control extending his radius. Griese picked up his first offer from Wright St. in April and has drawn other interest at the D-II and D-III levels. His stock should continue to improve by capitalizing on targets/opportunities and putting together strong senior film.
Chris Rodriguez Chris Rodriguez 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Durango | 2024 State NV
Chris Rodriguez Chris Rodriguez 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Durango | 2024 State NV
Rodriguez is a versatile DB that made plays at his natural S position and outside at CB last season. He’s an anticipatory defender in coverage possessing the reactions to jump routes and create turnovers over the middle of the field. He’s a tough, active tackler that’s aggressive through contact and can wrap up in space. Rodriguez should put himself on the D-II/D-III radar with continued development as a senior.
Balderrama’s a nimble lefty QB that flashed natural arm strength and accuracy in his time as a backup last season. He’s notably effective when getting the ball out quick and leading his receivers into space to make a play. He totaled 10 TDs and 506 total yards in 8 games as a junior. Balderrama could emerge as a breakout prospect among Nevada’s 2024 QBs with a strong senior season.
Whiters is a natural athlete on both sides of the ball at WR/FS. He was the leading receiver for Basic as a junior with 38 catches for 440 yards and 5 TDs. He’s a playmaker on the outside that can high-point downfield in 1v1 situations and is crafty in space after the catch. He’s a physical safety on defense that shows downhill closing speed and delivers strong contact in space. Whiters is an under-the-radar prospect with upside on either side of the ball.
