A couple of weeks ago, I tweeted a call for unranked 2024 film! The post received dozens of responses, with much of the film proving worthy of rankings consideration. Today, I'll be going over five standouts from that Twitter Thread. Many more articles to come from this, and I can't wait to finalize the 2024 rankings!

T/DE | [player_tooltip player_id='851680' first='Kyle' last='Klocek'] | Bedford | Hudl

Kyle showcases himself as a solid starting tackle in his film. I believe his agility is his strongest trait here, as he's able to pull/get to the second level quickly and efficiently. His overall fundamentals on O have some room for improvement, but I actually think Kyle's ceiling is higher on the defensive side of the ball. When I first discovered Kyle at the MHSAA Brighton showcase a few weeks ago, he was a very physical presence with a lot of wins to his name. I expect a sizeable jump in production for him this fall, which may garner some D3/NAIA interest, with a D2 ceiling if he really takes off!

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='851875' first='Isaiah' last='Atchison'] | Montague | Hudl

Standing at 6'8" with an 11.08 100M time and 23.00 200M time, it's obvious that Isaiah has profound potential in multiple sports. On the football side of things, his film showcases good plays in the short - intermediate parts of the field, with moments of winning 50/50 balls with his size. When I saw him in Jensison a few weeks ago, I noted how he really stood out with his size and speed but had trouble controlling his body with lateral movements. Still, this is a great multi-sport athlete. If he were to play football at the next level, he'd need to clean up his route running and improve his overall athleticism. With his size, he could even bulk up and play TE.

LB | [player_tooltip player_id='851837' first='Luke' last='Teachout'] | Parma Western | Hudl

Luke is an example of a player who does his job and does it well. This is a good OLB who excels at keeping containment and not allowing the ball to get to the outside. A bulk of his highlights showcase his ability to read a run play, and pounce on a ballcarrier running inside or outside of him. His overall size and physicality allow him to win a lot of power/zone blocks and stuff the run. Luke is a great run-stuffer! I would like to see more in terms of pass rush, but I understand those opportunities don't always present themselves in the Interstate 8 League.

ATH/QB | [player_tooltip player_id='249753' first='Joseph' last='Pizzo'] | Lansing Sexton | Hudl

Pizzo is a very interesting prospect. Having transferred to Sexton, he had to sit his Junior season. Though just a few weeks ago, he picked up a Division 2 offer from Davenport. This proves that he has continued to work throughout his Junior year and that he's geared up for a special Senior Season with his new squad. As for his Sophomore film, he showcases great dual-threat ability- especially in the running aspect. He's a weapon in the open-field and has showcased the occasional spin or juke move. I don't think Pizzo projects as a Quarterback in college, but he sure does deserve a spot on a team. Since the Davenport offer, D2 is the bar, and that's where I expect him to end up.

RB/ATH | [player_tooltip player_id='851874' first='Eli' last='DeYoung'] | Gobles | Hudl

Eli is a very unique prospect. At Gobles, he saw time at RB, QB, LB, and S. As an overall contributor; it's obvious that Eli is a well-conditioned leader who is able to play anywhere. Here, I'll be evaluating him as a Running Back. Eli has pretty good vision, and is able to keep his feet moving through contact. 2,012 AP yards really proves that he's a baller and truly surpasses most of the competition he faces. I like his vision and ability to shed tackles, but I'd like to see more athleticism and explosiveness in his game. Actually, I think Eli could get a scholarship for Rugby from somewhere like Trine. I believe that his current size and skillset is perfect to play high-level Flanker in Rugby, with potential at Center once he gets the hang of the game. If he wants to play football at the next level, he could play at NAIA.
