Tyrique Geen – ATH – Kell
We’ve written about Green multiple times in the past about being an “under the radar” prospect, but you can’t call him that anymore. An explosive two-way player for a stout Kell Longhorn program, Green’s recruitment has started to take off after turning heads during 7-on-7 tournaments, and this week he earned a major offer from Kirby Smart and the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. He’s one of the top two-way players across the Atlanta area, and possibly the state, for the 2026 class. The 6-foot-0 190-pounder is quick, agile, and has a natural feel for the secondary, although he has the talent to make big plays in all three aspects of the game. Defensively, he tackles well, he’s dependable in coverage, and has natural feel for the secondary. At defensive back last year, Green made 25 tackles and showcased his talent often. On offense, The Kell freshman rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns. With Georgia extending an offer, look for more big-time offers to come Green’s way down the road.
Billy Bobb Bobb Billy Bobb Bobb 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH South Forsyth | 2026 GA – EDGE – Gainesville
An outstanding defensive end prospect on the rise, Griffin is a big-time 6-foot-4 205-pound defender who is seeing his stock soar on the recruiting trail. He already holds a few impressive offers, and he earned a new one this week from Tennessee. Griffin is a long, athletic prospect who certainly doesn’t look like your average freshman. He can catch passes on offense, but his potential as a pass-rushing edge defender is what college coaches are taking notice of. He has a long frame and he’s quick off the snap. He shows a great motor and could turn into one of the state’s top 6A pass-rushers over the next season or two. As a freshman in 2022, he didn’t make a ton of varsity stats, but that should change in a big way as a sophomore in 2023.
Jamar Owens – DB – Jonesboro
Without a doubt one of the top 2026 defenders and overall athletes in the Atlanta area, Owens was a dynamic playmaker for Jonesboro as a freshman last year, showing he’s a reliable run defender as well as a playmaking ball-hawk in coverage. At 6-foot-1 170-pounds, Owens has a lengthy frame, helping him to blanket and knock the ball away from bigger, longer receivers down the field. He’s a dependable tackler who doesn’t mind contact, Owens made 90 tackles on the season. However, his biggest impact was made in coverage as he picked off five passes last year. A true playmaker defensively, Owens made at least seven tackles in nine games last year, showing he’s one of the more consistent young defenders in the area. He’s got great instincts for a freshman and a true nose for the football. He earned a recent offer Kentucky and could see more come his way sooner than later.
