<p>As we all know, ranking systems can be a hot topic and lead to some passionate discussions. Some players may feel they are ranked too low while others may feel they are ranked too high. Regardless, it's a great motivator for those who want to prove the rankings wrong. Going into their senior year, there are a few players I think could make a big jump in the preseason rankings. It's always exciting to see new faces debut and players rise, here are the player to take note of.</p>

With a 4.7 40-yard time, he's a bonafide play-maker for the Fayetteville Bulldogs and has showcased his skills in the toughest classification in the state. At 6-5, he has a height advantage over most quarterbacks, which allows him to have clear vision over line-of-scrimmage traffic and release the ball high and away from pass deflectors. Lindsey also has a tremendous ability to read defensive coverage's and deliver passes where the gaps are expected to be. Anticipate this star to surpass his impressive 3,850-yard season with 38 touchdowns from last year.</p>

With his well-rounded skill set, Hall is a promising prospect for Southside this year.</p>

He was having an incredible season and was on track to be considered for all-state recognition. Witt has always had a great balance of patience and speed, especially behind the line of scrimmage where he waits for holes to form and finds cut back lanes with ease. Once he gets into the open field, he's practically untouchable and has scored many long touchdowns throughout his career. It's likely that he'll continue to do so in 2023.</p>

He is incredibly fundamentally sound as an edge setter, fighting for advantage to keep his outside limbs free and shows he is strong enough to make those one-hand tackles as backs try to bust runs to the exterior. He has incredible closing speed (4.6 40) on ball carriers in the backfield and doesn't second guess his motives in the slightest, he crashes hard and has great skills in 1v1 tackling scenarios.</p>
