Recruiting News and Notes 6-24-23

However, recruiting camps and performance camps are not slowing down one bit. In fact, we have plenty of recruiting news to highlight this week that has taken place in the Natural State over the past week. We have plenty of news to catch up on this week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149538' first='Chauncey' last='Johnson']-Offensive Line-Lonoke-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We discussed the talented Lonoke offensive lineman last week after he received an offer from the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Johnson is a powerhouse and clears a path for his running backs with little difficulty. Earlier in the weekend, Johnson placed a verbal commitment with the Cowboys. Johnson is a prospect that fits the Oklahoma State offense well and congratulations go out to him. He has the ability to close out his high school career in strong fashion for Lonoke this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='166998' first='Mytorian' last='Singleton']-Wide Receiver-Bryant-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bryant wide receiver is a dynamic route runner. He does an excellent job of creating separation from opposing defenders using his route running and speed. Singleton has the speed to stretch the field deep and the Bryant coaching staff does a great job of getting Singleton the football. Singleton earned a scholarship offer from Central Arkansas earlier in the week. I expect a big season from the talented Singleton over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160007' first='Camron' last='Williams']-Athlete-Gosnell-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One prospect that has built serious recruiting momentum over the past month has been [player_tooltip player_id='160007' first='Camron' last='Williams']. On the offensive side of the ball, Williams can use his athleticism and tremendous speed to get open on pass routes. He is a player that has no problem making plays with the ball in his hands. He has earned scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, Miami, Florida State, Michigan State, and Missouri State over the past few weeks. He has the potential for an excellent season in 2023 and I look forward to seeing him play on Saturdays in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='149586' first='Jonathan' last='Goins Jr'].-Wide Receiver-Pine Bluff-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Pine Bluff Zebras are a team that is never at a shortage of talented players. [player_tooltip player_id='149586' first='Jonathan' last='Goins Jr']. is a wide receiver that can take the top off of the defense using his speed. He has a knack for hauling in the tough reception and making it look easy. His work in the offseason has not gone unnoticed and he has earned a scholarship offer from Jackson State University. Pine Bluff has the players to be a dangerous team to contend with this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='812466' first='Justin' last='Barber']-Morgan-Running Back-England-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='812466' first='Justin' last='Barber']-Morgan is a running back that gets better the more he carries the football. He does a great job of allowing the rushing lane to develop before exploding through the hole. Barber-Morgan will not be brought down on initial contact, and it usually takes more than one defender to bring him down. The talented England running back has earned scholarship offers from Florida State Coastal and Carolina Christian over the past few weeks. Look for a big season from the dangerous England running back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='639420' first='Marquaze' last='Parker']-Defensive Line-West Memphis-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The West Memphis defensive lineman is one of the most versatile prospects in the state of Arkansas. Parker explodes out of the stance and uses his speed well to disrupt the opposing offensive backfield. He defeats blocks well and can impact the opponent's rushing game and the passing attack as well. Over the past few weeks, Parker has earned scholarship offers from Southeast Msouri State and Cincinnati. I expect an impressive season from the West Memphis defensive lineman this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='393021' first='Dane' last='Williams']-Quarterback-Rogers-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='393021' first='Dane' last='Williams'] is a prospect that has flown under the radar over the past few months. However, he is a quarterback that does a great job of making the tough throws. He has good accuracy and does an impressive job of throwing his receivers open. Williams placed his commitment with Harding University earlier in the week. Harding is getting a quarterback that can make all the throws needed to win games and a player that has no problem using his legs to pick up yards on the ground.
