2024 coverage continues with a couple of offensive names to know for the upcoming season.
Jeffrey Kunzman Jeffrey Kunzman 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL Bellevue West | 2024 State NE | OL | Bellevue West | 6’2″ 260 lbs
Jeffrey is a player that is surprisingly still flying under the radar. His versatility played a big role on the high-flying Bellevue West offense. He is primarily a guard but also looked solid at tackle when asked to shift over. My first real impression of Kunzman was back in January at the WA showcase, where he really shined with his smooth footwork and quickness off the ball. He has great short-area quickness to move up to second-level blocks and when pulling. Jeffrey played with consistent pad level and hand placement, doing a great job winning the leverage battle over his opponent. Kunzman looks pretty polished already in pass protection, and as a run-blocker, so I’m looking forward to seeing what another offseason of development will do for him.
Karter Lee Karter Lee 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Kearney | 2024 State NE | WR | Kearney | 5’11” 170 lbs
Kearney WR Karter Lee Karter Lee 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Kearney | 2024 State NE was one of the top risers in this update of the rankings. Karter returns his senior season as one of the more productive receivers from last season, with 30 receptions for 540 yards and eight receiving touchdowns. I mentioned in an earlier article, that Karter’s ability to create separation with his route-running and footwork is awesome to watch on film. He understands route concepts and spacing and is able to take advantage of them to get to an open spot. He tracks the ball very well and is a great hands receiver that can pluck the ball out of the air from anywhere. Karter has great speed that he uses to attack the defense vertically. He is also great after the catch, where he can hit the next gear and accelerate past the field. Somebody needs to offer this guy!!
Nolan Feller Nolan Feller 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB Millard South | 2024 State NE | RB | Millard South | 5’6″ 170 lbs
One of the more versatile backs in the 2024 class is Millard South’s, Nolan Feller Nolan Feller 5'6" | 170 lbs | RB Millard South | 2024 State NE . Nolan stepped into the starting role as a junior and ended the season with 775 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 137 carries. Nolan is a very shifty, speedy back with lots of lower body strength and balance to fight through tackle attempts. Even as a smaller back, Nolan doesn’t lack in toughness and has no issue running downhill and driving his pads into a defender’s chest. His vision allows him to follow his blocks and find cutback lanes to the outside, where he can then turn on the burners. Feller is so quick and agile, with a nice bag of moves that he can dip into to leave defenders stunned. Nolan is also a great asset in the passing game as a receiver out of the backfield or lined up in the slot. He also runs more routes than some receiving backs do, able to take quick open space dump-offs, or can pick apart slower LB/Safeites in the second and third levels with his crisp route-running ability.
Dylan Eby Dylan Eby 6'3" | 270 lbs | OL Plattsmouth | 2024 State NE | OL | Plattsmouth | 6’3″ 290 lbs
Dylan is a two-way player that has been on our radar since his sophomore season. He plays left tackle and defensive end for the Blue Devils with the potential to play either position at the next level. He has great size at 6’3″ and 290 pounds and is surprisingly nimble on his feet. On offense, Dylan does a great job moving up into the second level and sealing off blocks in the run game. Dylan’s hand use translates to both sides of the trenches as he does a great job winning the ‘hands’ battle to gain leverage. Playing in a run-happy offense has helped develop him into a solid run-blocker and allowed him to flash his physicality. Defensively, he shows great power to move off blocks and can be disruptive as a two-gap defender. He does a great job shutting down run lanes and can manhandle his way into the backfield. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect still looking for his first offer but has drawn interest from schools like Augustana, Sioux Falls, SDSU, and Wayne State. Big season coming up!
