The season is only a few months away, so now's the time to pay more attention to teams & leagues. The OAA Red as a whole is one of the most talented leagues in Michigan. This is a primer league with many Division 1 recruits every year. The competition is fierce, and the individual athletes are incredible. This article will predict every MVP for the OAA Red's six teams!

Adams | [player_tooltip player_id='566987' first='Ryland' last='Watters'] | QB

The Veer Quarterback plays such a unique role. Of course, the QB position is deemed the most valuable in all of football. What's different about the veer is that Ryland may have games with 0 attempted passes. It's option, option, option. The triple-option QB must be as smart as he is tough, and that's exactly what Picot was for Adams for so many years. In comes Ryland, with the best defenses in Michigan in front of him and big shoes to fill. I expect Ryland will have a big season, and I expect them to be the biggest impact player and Adam's most valuable player in 2023.

Clarkston | [player_tooltip player_id='253268' first='Desman' last='Stephens II'] | DB

Desman is a unique athlete. He's a tall corner that can line up anywhere on the field but is especially good at the boundary. He flies around, can be a ball hawk, and is overall a great Division 1 prospect. With a good number of stellar 2023 seniors, Stephens will take charge as the Wolves #1 player this Fall.

West Bloomfield | [player_tooltip player_id='667462' first='Kari' last='Jackson'] | LB

I could have gone in so many different directions here, but I chose the hard-hitting LB. West Bloomfield, as always, has about a dozen college recruits with their own standouts. Kari seems to have been a bit of a late bloomer, but MAN is he a good player. Reading the backfield, and straight-up attacking instead of reacting. Kari is able to deliver big blows and totally wreck an opposing run game. He and Montel Johnson may be the best LB duo in the state.

Lake Orion | [player_tooltip player_id='253269' first='Billy' last='Roberson II'] | RB

If I had a lock for MVP, it would be [player_tooltip player_id='253269' first='Billy' last='Roberson II']. I'm just blown away every time I watch his film and see his stats. Billy is a bellcow back who is extremely hard to bring down in the open field. Good speed, great vision, and rarely goes down on first contact. Billy is one of the best players in Oakland County and a Division 1 prospect through and through. I think he'll continue to dominate, and be the MVP for his team.

Stoney Creek | [player_tooltip player_id='227296' first='Jacob' last='Kropchak'] | OL

Some may roll an eye at an offensive lineman being team MVP, but Jacob is just so consistent. Playing in this league, you need a good offensive line. If your OL is lacking, you will get destroyed. Jacob provides incredible senior leadership and some of the best OL play in Michigan. He's a mauler who can do whatever you ask him to do. A D1 prospect, and my projected MVP for Stoney Creek!

Oxford | Brody Moore | ATH

It's honestly pretty difficult picking an MVP for Oxford, but I'm going with the multi-positional Brody Moore. A stud baseball player as well as football player, Brody is a good route-runner and a solid DB. He's able to be a volume pass-catcher, and he does his best to make things happen in the open field. He seems to be doing pretty dang well in Baseball right now, and with continued conditioning this offseason, he could be a force in the Red.
