One of the most underrated athletes in Suffolk County. He was a huge part of Longwood’s title appearance. He is a throwback high school football player who can do just about everything for his team. He plays quarterback for Longwood but I see him as a defensive back at the next level. Offensively, Corbett has the ability to make accurate throws and can also get it down field to his speedy receivers with his arm strength. He can even block and catch the ball as well. He has toughness to make him a great runner between the tackles and get a lot of yards. Defensively, he was one of the ball hawks for that Lions secondary and he brings that classic Longwood physicality all over the field.
The Bayport native is one of the top defensive lineman coming back this year. He was one of the best pure tacklers at the position and he has the versatility to have a monster junior season. One of the reasons why earned all state honors was both his ability to rush the passer and be an amazing run stopper. In conference 4 we see a lot of run heavy teams and that plays into Spano’s strengths. He is terrific at shedding at a block and being able to come away with a tackle on an explosive taliback. He has the opportunity to dominate the teams he goes against this season.

The young receiver from Miller Place was one of the more intriguing prospects Isaw at the downstate classic and Suffolk county showcase. I didn’t think I saw a player make as many contested catches as Williams did. His body positioning and leverage against a DB during a 50/50 ball was great. His hands were excellent and he somehow came away with some very difficult catches. He is going to be a key factor on a Miller place team that is quietly filled with talented players. Willamson has good size at 6’1 and a solid release and once he gets a little bit quicker, you’ll be hearing his name as one of the top receivers on Long Island.
The lineman from Smithtown West defined consistency last season. 0 pressures or sacks allowed in his entire junior year made up of 310 snaps. I saw him workout in person with his teammates on the line and Schook visibly got much stronger. He has the opportunity to open eyes his senior year with some highlight reel blocks. On a pass heavy team, Schook will excel as a pass blocker thanks to his quick feet accompanied by amazing lower body strength. He also can play both sides of the ball, he will be one of the most impactful players on a Smithtown West team with high expectations
Hunter Lovinsky

This summer Hayden Lovinksy has gotten a lot of hype, but we cannot sleep on his twin brother Hunter who also plays for Deer Park. Hunter Lovinsky is an under the radar running back in Suffolk county, he has great vision and he hits the hole very hard. Lovinsky displayed some breakaway speed last season and he’s only become a better athlete. He can get past the first level and he has the moves in the open field to be dangerous. I also like him in the secondary for the Falcons. The Lovinsky defensive back duo is going to be a scary one this upcoming season.
Despite only being 5’9, Ayala from Brentwood is one of the hardest hitters you’ll see at the linebacker spot in Suffolk county. Pound for pound he has to be one of the toughest players on Long Island. Ayala has a true nose for the ball. He had a huge junior season as a middle linebacker thanks to his explosiveness and ability to immediately get in the backfield. He was an elite tackler and forced a couple of fumbles. He will be “the guy” in a physical Brentwood defense this upcoming season, watch out for him to put up amazing numbers.
