Here are a few of the NWGA players that were relatively unknown before the Summer but turned heads in camp and earned their 1st offers.
2027 6’3 284 OL/DL (Paulding Co Patriots): No surprise here that this incoming Freshman has turned heads on the Camp circuit this Summer. Big body with excellent weight distribution. As an incoming Freshman there is no varsity film on Peeks but he is well on his way to becoming a National recruit. B2C 2x Middle School Lineman of the Year. He Picked up his 1st FBS/P5 offers this week from UAB and Arkansas.
6’4 290 OL (Cass): Kail was already on some recruiting boards at the end of his freshman season, picking up offers from EKU and App State. He has jumped on the National scene this off-season. Imposing presence at the line of scrimmage. Gets off the ball well. Long arms. A student of the game that is constantly honing his craft in the off season. P5/FBS schools are starting to take notice of this rising Sophomore as Ga Tech, NC State, Coastal Carolina and South Florida have offered this month.

6’4 220 TE (South Paulding): Bobbitt has been one of the hottest newcomers this Spring, adding 8 offers since the beginning of May including Georgia Southern, Tennesse Tech, Alabama State, and Wofford. Athletic build with room to add weight. High motor guy. Has the speed to stretch the field vertically and uses his body to shield smaller defenders. Doesn’t mind catching the ball in traffic and has a good first step to get those YAC.

6’0 195 QB (Bowdon Red Devils): McGrinn moves to Bowdon after playing his Junior season in Alabama. Was a Top 15 QB in the State of Alabama for the ’24 Class. Strong and fast. Was clocked at 4.50 in the 40 yard dash at both the UNA and Troy Recruit Camps. Can play at the next level as a DB or RB. Excellent speed and change of direction when he hits the hole. Physical tackler.

6’3 280 OL/DL (Trion Bulldogs): Adams played both LT/LG for the Bulldogs in ’22. He is quick off the line and keeps his pad level low. Good pass blocker that back peddles well and keeps his feet moving. A finisher: always looking for somebody else to block and plays till he hears the whistle. He was impressive at the recent Shorter Camp, picking up post camp offers from Shorter and UVA-Wise.

6’4 225 TE/DE (LaFayette Ramblers): Primarily used as a run blocking TE for the Ramblers. Aggressive, physical and finishes blocks. Showed his ability to catch the ball at the Reinhardt Camp. Good route runner with soft hands that knows how to use his body to shield defenders. Won the TE MVP award at Reinhardt, earning a post camp offer. Workout warrior that utilizes the offseason to get stronger. One to Watch.
