2024:
Ty Dassinger Ty Dassinger 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Dickinson Trinity | 2024 State ND (RB), Highlights
Dassinger made a lot of noise in his Junior Season. Putting his speed, muscle and agility on full display on tape. In a zone running offense, his agility played big making good, hard cuts into the open field. If the defense was able to corral him, he could muscle his way through the tackle and still make a positive gain. When he escaped into the open field, his speed would leave the defense in the dust. Defensively, his speed and physicality get him around the ballcarrier and making a good form tackle.
Jace Kovash (QB), Highlights
Kovash has a lot of potential to break out and lead an explosive offense again this season. Excellent footwork, quick arm motion and good arm angle and he can make plays throwing the ball. When rolling out, he keeps good shoulder level after a good fake and makes the throw easier for him on the run. He shows great patience waiting for routes to develop and then delivers a good pass. His ‘it’ factor would be his touch on his passes at all levels, deep or short.
Jeremiah Jilek (LB/TE), Highlights
Jilek is a good wildcard to have on both sides of the ball. Defensively, his lateral movement was his key factor in him making tackles. Reading keys well and react to the play quickly, he was usually in position to make plays. A big thing I would like to highlight in his game is his angles to the ballcarrier. On perimeter runs, he did a great job tracking and pursuing the ball keeping a good pad level and wrapping up for the tackle. Offensively, he was a good possession target, being a big target for the QB.
Luke Shobe (WR/DB), Highlights
Luke Shobe is a very practical player. Practical meaning he has many different attributes that get the job done in different ways. Offensively, he could burn the defense in many different ways. A big one being his speed, burning defenses deep on vertical routes many times a game. Also filling the role of possession receiver, finding the sticks, securing the catch and getting the first down. Defensively, he filled his position, did is job and stepped up and made plays in the run and pass.
Jake Shobe (WR/DB), Highlights
Jake Shobe is your quieter playmaker. On the defensive side, he plays his role to perfection each and every play. Covering his pass zones perfectly and keeping the play in front him at all times. On the plays in the backfield, he takes a good angle to keep his contain and takes on blocks perfectly. Once he shakes the block, he breaks down and makes a good form tackle. Offensively, he is the short game player. Catching screens and turning them into a big chunk of yardage on key plays.
